  1. Yeah, using MPS (monopersulfate, or oxidizer as many call it) after EVERY soak is a little intense, unless you regularly have about 5 people in the tub. Even then, just maintaining a good level of chlorine (~3ppm) between soaks should be enough. You will find your chlorine drops after usage, simply because the chlorine is being used up sanitizing your water as you're in it.
  2. If you want to be extra safe, you could just pop open the cabinet and plug in a little area heater; once closed in, it should do just enough to keep your lines from freezing over until you've got power running again!
  3. Just to throw in my two cents; It's important to remember that just because your water looks clear, and smells fine, is not indicitave of whether or not your water is clean. I'm sure you got that when you had that brief clean spell TubOguts! As to the filter, I'm not so sure about re-using it; after all, part of the reason you replaced the last one was due to this very problem. It would just be unfortunate to go through all this effort to sanitize and clean your spa, only to have the mold reintroduced through that filter. Regardless, best of luck to you with your tub and the clean!
  4. Hey Sage, Would you mind giving us a little bit of insight on how you've been using your ACE system? Everyone else seems to get quite annoyed with it on the boards here... Been lurking these boards for a few months now (AMAZING information) trying to learn as much as I can; I'm being trained as a salesman at a pool/spa store, and I really value the information found here. We haven't gotten the ACE yet in Canada, but everyone at my store touts it as being the best thing since anything ever. I'd really love to hear what it requires on your part in terms of maintenance, any issues you've had, etc. Thanks in advance!
