  1. Ok so i figured it out, figured I would let everyone else know. It ended up being the remote topside panel. I disconnected and it stopped playing games with me... It must have gotten zapped in the lightning storm...
  2. I have a 2001 Sundance Optima 850 and having this FLO error also... When the unit calls for heat, the circ pump kicks on and runs fine however if I drop the temp all the way to 80 to keep the unit from heating up, the circ pump runs for about 2-3 minutes after the temp is lowered and i then get the solid FLO and screen freezes like you mentioned above... Sometimes the error clears itself in time, but usually if I don't want to wait i turn the breaker off for a few mins and then its fine... My circ cycle is set to the default (on at 12:00AM for 24 hrs - constant) however the pump only runs when the unit calls for heat, and I don't get the FLO error until I turn the heat up and then turn it back down... Does anyone know why my circ pump isn't on continuously? I know the circ pump is not supposed to run if the actual temp is 2 degrees or more of the set temperature, but it still turns off once it reaches temperature.
  3. I have an Optima 850 (mfg 2001) with 2 main pumps plus a circulator pump. We just had a lightning storm last night here in NY and I think a few things may have happened. For one I think water got into the Ozonator and since then the gfi breaker was tripping, i have since disconnected the ozonator and now the tub stays on but now... When you first turn it on Jets 2 come on at startup and you cannot turn them off (when you press the button for jets 2 nothing happens, the icon just stays lit and jets continue to run. After some time (probably 20 mins I think is the auto shutoff time) jets 2 turn off, but then you can't turn them back on... So something would tell me that the topside panel is bad (just the jet2 button) since everything else works fine, even the indicator icon for Jets 2 turns off so the topside panel is getting feedback from the control board... Anyway does that sound like the problem, or do you think the problem could actually be with the control board itself. What makes me think this is because the second set of buttons on the other side of the spa also do not toggle Jets 2, so i was thinking could it be that the button itself is bad? (probably not since the one on the other side of the spa also doesn't toggle), Could it be the circuitry within the topside panel that sends the on/off signal to the control panel?? Or could the topside panel actually be sending the signal, just the control board ignoring it. I was thinking also could it be the relay?? I am thinking not because the pumps still turn on and off fine... Could it also be the transformer?? I have heard these are usually the first to go in storms. Maybe the transformer is not producing the right voltage down all the wires?? If somebody is skilled enough to explain which wires I could test, or possibly if there is a pair of wires I can put a short on to test the toggling of the pump basically bypassing the topside panel. Thanks!!
