  1. Well I think that people can't really give a great review a month or two after purchase. How about a couple of years to really get a good opinion/review. I have researched that tub and my co-worker ownes one and all I hear is nightmere stories. One huge complaint on this tub is poor insulation so when it runs its cleaning cycles and has to heat up to maintain temp. its really loud because the jet pump kicks on and the noise echos in the cabinet. So with having poor insulation it will cost more to heat-up. On record it costs anywhere from $60-$160 a month to operate which to me is ridiculous. Yeah the tub is only around 5k but if you settle for a cheaper tub you will end up paying the difference in the long run. Another thing is if you need help or have any questions good luck having a costco employee giving you any info on how to use/operate your tub. You will have to contact the manufacter who is only available online or by phone M-F 9-5 Eastern time. Anyhoo, to a person who doesn't know a thing about hot tubs this tub looks amazing and sounds like a great deal. But people need to really understand that tubs can be as different as night and day. They all have different things some being exclusive to different makes/models. In the end you Get what you pay for! So what maybe a great deal now, more than likely will be a throw away tub in 2-4years. Does anyone out there actually own one of these things longer than a year on here to give a indepth good review? Best Wishes, & Happy Soaking! ~~~Hottublady~~~
  2. Hey Jetjockey, Well the great thing is that your test soaking in all the spas which is really important! Now it comes to breaking them down and finding the differences between them all, and I'm here to help! I know hot tubs in and out and can give you the pros and cons on each. 1. Marquis Epic- Great spa wonderful company/downfall they have bypass filtration and cleaning cycles. 2. Sundance-have the same issues as Marquis 3. Hot Springs-downfall they are pricey but thats really it, they have no bypass filtration, no cleaning cycles and a great warrenty. The tub cleans 24hrs a day silently! What does By-Pass mean to you?-It means that when the jets are on, the tub has intakes that suck in the water and passes the filter and comes straight out the jets. So this being said, if you have a hot tub party and have a bunch of people in there and the water gets gross, when you have a system with bypasses the water isn't being filtered its just mixing around. Cleaning Cycles-now mostly all tubs have them, and the tubs you are looking at have great insulation so noise shouldn't be an issue. But the down fall to having a tub with cleaning cycles is that the water in the tub will sit there stagment for a few hours until the cycle turns on and then its being pushed through the filter compartment. Hope this helps you! Best wishes and happy soaking! ~~Hottublady~~
  3. Okay So those are all great spas. LA Spas the only down fall is that they use UV light for ozone and those loose it potency in 6 mos and you will have to replace it within a year and thats about $100 Marquis Spa are wonderful as well, but they don't have a 24hr circulation pump. What that means to you is that the water is not continously being filtered so the water stays there stagment for a couple of hours until the clean cycle kicks on. They also use the UV ozone. Also has bypass filtration. Artesian Spa the only thing about them like most spas is that they have bypass filtration. That means that instead of the water being filtered before it comes out of the jets it "bypasses" the filter and comes straight out of the jets. The down fall to that is if you have a bunch of people in there and the water gets gross it will just circulate around and not filter it. Hot Springs is a great spa as far as preformance and longevity. They have a great No-Fault heater warrenty. But the best thing to do is to test soak in the tubs. If it was my choice and were looking at all the top of the line models from these top companies I would go with Hot Springs because the ease of use and ownership. I have one and its 10years old and its perfect and runs and looks just as good as the first day it was delivered. Good luck, Hottublady
