  1. Thanks! Just did a quick search on the saltwater chlorine generator and that is a great option. Going to a saltwater chlorine generator sounds like a perfect sytem for me to try. Now I just need to save up for one. Thanks agian!
  2. I use the taylor test kit I just estimated the cya base on not seeing the balck dot. I am not sure why but my TA Flucuates and I just keep it in that range.I have tried the 3 step method as well. After a few uses i break out full rash. Using nature2 I did not break out as bad but defently had a reaction to the mps. I have been using mps as a shock with the dichloro/bleach and I am just fine. Is it really a bad Idea to use pool tabs? It really just seems like I need to throw some bleach in every few days even if I don't test it.
  3. I Have been using bromine for a few years. now every time I used the spa I get a bad rash on my body mainly on my arms, legs, and back. I am the only one who get the rash. I have Tried baqua spa I did not get a rash but It casue alot more work and used alot more chemicals then its said. I have Used Nature 2 mineral stick with mps. After a few uses I started to get a slight rash again. Right now I have been using the dicloro/bleach method and shock with mps. I do not get a rash using this system and I like it. My only problem is I am not able to go and test and add bleach every day and I am just worried about somthing bad growing in there. The local shop says its okay just to put some in before you go in. I just dont trust that. My girlfiend dad uses clorine pool tabs in his spa but every time you open the cover it smells like you in a chlorine factory. I also read some where that it is not good to use. Can any body recomend a system that you can check once or twice a week and that does not use Bromine and mps as a saniters. ( I can shock with mps) I decontaminate every time I do a water change and I keep the spa at: Temp - 104 PH- 7.4 CA- 180 Ta- 80-120 Borate 30-50 cya 25
  4. I have a 2004 caldera Tahitian. I bought it as a floor model it 2007 and love it the only thing I have had gone wrong is the monarch ozone stopped working. but that seems to be the life span of one any way.
  5. Hello every one. I need to replace my ozone generator. I have a caldera spa 360 gal and is used often. I am interested in a Del MCD 50 or the Balboa O3zone cd Chip. If anyone uses or has had any experience with these brands please let me know what you think of them. I was told that they should both last about 5 years, does anyone know if that is true? They seem to be about the same specs. The Del mcd has a replaceable chip, but my local store told me that does not really matter because most of the time a new chip does not fix it. so does the fact the del can replace a chip make it better then the balboa? Again any opinion on the two or another brand will be a big help Thanks! Here are some links that lead to some spec if anyone is interested. http://www.delozone.com/products/residential-products.php http://www.balboawatergroup.com/Spa-Ozone
