  1. Indeed I use an ozonator. But still I don't know the other ingredients which are used but the water is nice clear and without any other odour then water. So the secret componets works.
  2. In Dec. 2010 I have ask if there was any expiriences with SpaBalancer? Now I can write hereby my own experience with SpaBalancer: After two years of using Chloride treatment there was a development of skin problems "Eczema" on my arms, legs and back. On advice of my doctor I was not able to use anymore my spa with Cl products. So I was looking on the internet if there where was a replacement products on the market and find SpaBalancer. From the discussion on PoolSpaForum I have received a free bottle of 750mL SpaBalancer to try if this was better for my skin problems then chloride products. In Jan.2011 I have clean my spa with spa cleaner "Maxus" and did a refill and start with SpaBalancer. Till now I have the following experience with using SpaBalancer: - The water don't smell any more. - My skin problems are disappeared. - Soft skin - Dosses first 4 weeks 75mL per week en then 50mL per week. - pH is stable 7.8-8.0 - No water change every 3 months. - No water checks and no optimizing of chloride levels. - Filters are a little bit brown but easy to remove with a chloride solution. At this moment I am really satisfied with using SpaBalancer. I don't know the composition of this product only I know it works!! So I can recommend SpaBalancer.
  3. Due to the chloride the pillows of my hot tub are damaged. I have a problem to buy new pillows in the Netherlands. Does somebody have experience to coated or pant the damaged pillows?
  4. chlorine allergy is very rare. What type of chlorine do you use? If you are using diclor then it is more likely you have overstabilzation from buildup of cyanuric acid and might have an outbreak of Pseudomonas (hot tub itch). Hi Waterbear, Sorry for my late reaction: I use ones a week one tablet 20g 90/20 ex Melspring, Cyanuric trichloride (85% active Cl) and to chock Calciumhypochloride granulate (65% active Cl). Further I use a ozonarator and pH plus end minus. Do know better chemicals. Thanks, Rob
  5. Hi Aqua, my English is also not very well because I live in the Netherlands. I have read the reviews on your website only the most disadvandage is the costs for 750mL. I have calculated that I need to use at least four bottles per year. I have a 5 persons spa. Please add some comments. Thanks, Rob
  6. Thank you for answer. I use at this moment chloride but the last month we are a bit allergy for Cl. Do you know a good alternative for Cl. We are not allowed to use Br here in the Netherlands. Thanks,
  7. Personally, I would not use a product that is that expensive, does not kill biofilms, still requires the use of chlorine to destroy biofilms (which indicated it is NOT a fast acting primary sanitizer), does not list its ingredients, has a very vague website, does not provide the science behind how it works but only provides "testimanials" from "users", and (since I am in the USA) is NOT an EPA approved spa sanitizer. Snake oil is snake oil.
  8. In Germany there is a product on the Spa market "SpaBalancer". Which is a non-chloride product. The price is €109,-/$149,- for 750mL. http://www.spabalancer.com/spabalancer-en.html Are there any expiriences with SpaBalancer? Pros, cons, do'es and don'ts?
