  1. That's a great idea. We are planning on adding a bench that will double as a storage box. I haven't figured out the sound system yet, but am looking at my options.
  2. Looking to connect with others that have a Wilkes Pool. We had ours installed late last fall. Thought it may be a good idea to compare notes.
  3. I'm planning on expanding the pool deck this year. Looking for ideas, so I would be interested in seeing pics and knowing how big of an expansion you built. Also looking for any ideas on the little extras that make your deck functional/more enjoyable: such as a deck storage box that can also be used as a bench or if you incorporated special lighting/sound systems. We installed a wilkes pool last fall. The current deck is 6 feet.
  4. We had a Wilkes Genesis Pool in at the end of the season. So come spring, I need to run electric to the pool. Any recommendations of what I need. I've heard two methods, run conduit or just purchase the wire that can be buried. I'm also thinking while I'm digging the trench, I might as well run speaker wire to the pool area, which is about 20 ft. away from the house. While I'm digging is there anything else that I should consider for future consideration. Any advice on this project is appreciated.
  5. I think I will just install a separate speaker in close proximity to the tub. I just like that the speakers are right behind your head, so the location is ideal to sit back, relax and enjoy the music. I thought that I was running the chance of having them blow, hence the dial switch and I was planning on running them off the B channel. Thanks, now I'll just have to start shopping for speakers.
  6. I have a Saratoga spas hot tub that has four pop up speakers in each corner. The system has what appears to be a car stereo mounted in the side of the skirting. My hot tub is on our screened in porch, which I recently wired speakers to run off of my surround sound system which I play the Sirius Radio off of Dish Network. I would like to wire the hot tub speakers so that everything is playing the same music. I was thinking of running speaker wires to the tub, with an on/off dial to help control the volume. Do I run the risk of blowing out the hot tub speakers? I can't find anything that indicates their size. Is this even possible to do? Any advice is appreciated
  7. Mason, I just spent this past weekend looking for filters for my Saratoga spa. It had pleatco filters, so I started shopping around. From Pleatco's website, they game me names of local vendors. Of course nobody had them in stock, but said they could order them for me. I think its a matter of preference between Pleatco and Filbur, of the people I spoke with they preferred one or the other. Nothing horrible with either, just a matter of preference much like Chevy vs. Ford, Pepsi vs. Coke, etc. The key is getting the right size and most of the websites have a conversion where you type in your info and you get product numbers for all of the companies. I even found that price varied between all of our local vendors who said they could order them, as much as $20 difference for the pleatco brand. I finally decided to buy online from HotTubworks.com I had purchased something else from them before and their filter look up guide gave me everything that I needed to know. They shipped today so I can give you more info in a few days.
  8. Is there a difference between the above ground pool steps and in ground pool steps? They look the same to me. They seem like a great addition to have, are their any pros or cons that I should consider?
  9. yes, We used one for the past two years. If anyone wants to buy it let me know --I'm located in Central PA. Should be starting the install of our Wilkes Pool this week.
