  1. thanks that is some valuable info esp on temp. I will need to run the test again. I have used a couple diff kings of chlorine. I did the shock in a bag stuff but I have also done bleach. It has turned cold here again and will be for a few days. Prior to that though my shallow end has cleared up to where I can see the bottoom but still will need to work on deep end with some more vacuuming when weather gets better thanks again I will get beck hopefully next week
  2. So I sound stupid I will ask, How is the best way to bring it to shock level? Another note,,,, Since my h2o temp is cold would that change the values? I mean if the same water was brought up to a warmer temp would the values be the same? Just wondering since I barely got the cl- level up to where it is now what it would be if it was warmer?
  3. I did do the test once when I had FC at .2ppm and it also was the same. I read somewhere that CC really didn't matter so I did not do it again. I am new to this stuff so I have no idea what I am doing except for reading here and my Taylor test kit. Advice is always appreciated Thanks
  4. temp 60 degree F alk 120 ppm CaCl3 90 ppm ph 7.3 FC 2.2 s index was -.5 cya won't register so I assume its very low Just opened pool been vacuuming and cleaning debri out. After circulating, shock, bleach etc water is still cloudy but nice blue color Any suggestions will be helpful Oh yea, pool is inground 20x40 vinyl liner located in middle TN. Temps right now r highs in the 70's I am new to pools, just got it installed last Aug so not much time to learn this stuff
  5. I am highly considering doing a DIY inground pool from a kit. Anyone have experience doing this? I have some concerns about my lot and how concrete would be delivered. First of all, I have a sloping lot that also plunges slightly where I want to put the pool. Its not a bad slope but it is definately there. I think it would be fine once the backhoe driver cleared out the dirt and be carful when pouring the concrete. Next concern is the only way to get a truck to the area is to come down my concrete driveway. What is the probability it will destroy the drive? Its my only option since my septic tank and fill lines are on the other side of my yard. Is there any other way to get that much concrete from the road to be poured??? Any help would be appreciated or advice on DIY pools
