How can I find out how much CYA is in my pool, and what is CYA anyway, am I supposed to add it to the pool? PS: Sorry if my questions look rather stupid, I'm quite new to all of this.

I have an inground pool which is about 29,000 gallons, how much chlorine should I add to shock it, and how much do I need to add weekly? I'm quite new to this, so I was wondering, do you generally cover your pool when you are not using it?

Hi, I think my pool may be leaking because the water level is dropping quite quickly, (about 5-10 inches a day I guess). I've have tried refilling it and it takes very long to refill, and it ends up decreasing again. I first noticed this after opening the pool after the winter (we have sub-0 winters here). I've only had a pool for 1.5 years so I am quite inexperience with this. I will try to give some relevant details: -There are no lights -The water level is well below the skimmer -The pool goes from 1m deep to 3.5m (yea its deep) -I did not empty the pipes before the winter in order to remove water, instead I poured in antifreeze (first time I do any of this) -Pool type: rectangular inground vinyl liner Anyone know what could by wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks a ton! Edit: I highly doubt it is evapouration because the cover is on and the water level is decrease very quickly
