  1. Instead of moving a used hot tub myself I was thinking about having a spa company move it for me. What would a ballpark figure be for having the company move the hot tub? load up, move 25 miles, unload and place on pad?
  2. First, I had considered concrete slab for out hot tub but the price of concrete is crazy in our area. For our new hot tub I am considering a base made from a few inches of pea gravel topped with 1-2" of sand then concrete pavers. Holding it all in I was thinking of 4"x4" pressure treated wood. Is 4x4 sufficient or should I use something else? For an 8' tub, is the 3" of gravel, 2" sand and pavers sufficient? Or do the depths need tweaking at all? Thanks.
  3. Hello all. My wife and I are doing our homework before our first hot tub purchase. A co-worker has offered us her hot tub that was drained 3 years ago. It was working at the time but too $$$ for them to run since they hardly used it. It had the heater replaced just before disconnect. It's an 8' hot tub with 20 jets and 2 1.5hp waterways pumps. It looks to be in good shape except that there are 2 holes in the footwell about the size of a quarter. Like where something was dropped into the hot tub when it was empty and the acrylic broke. You can see the insulation through these holes. Are these holes easily repaired? There are no crack lines extending outward from the holes. If repairable what would be a fair price to repair these 2 holes? Thanks.
