  1. The pump did get very hot before it shut off. It also seemed to run very slow (even for low speed). I've got a call in to the spa tech that replaced the pump, but he has not returned calls. The strange thing is the pump ran perfectly three weeks ago when disconnected from the 240V supply. Weird.
  2. Hi all, I have a Marquis Recreational spa that I've just moved to a new house. At our old house we had the unit wired for 240V permanent installation. At the new house we don't have a 240V connection and don't plan to have one installed for a few months. I'd like to convert the spa back to 120V temporarily until we have the new 240V service installed. I followed all of the instructions on the Balboa wiring diagram to convert from the 240V settings back to 120. When I plugged the spa in the pump ran for a few minutes and then the motor tripped out. This led me to believe the motor internal wiring needs to be changed back to 120V also. Here is the problem: We had a reconditioned pump put in a few months ago and there is no wiring diagram or data plate on the pump to go by. The pump is a 2speed GE unit, and I am almost positive the unit is dual voltage, but without the wiring diagram I can't tell. Under the wiring cover the following are connected: Terminal "1" - Neutral (white wire) from controller Terminal "2" - Low Speed (black wire) from controller and blade connector with black wire to motor windings Terminal "3" - High Speed (red wire) from controller AND blade connector with blue wire to motor windings There is also a red wire connected to a blade terminal below a label B A Can anyone help me convert this motor back to 120V? I've attached a picture of the wiring on the motor side. Thanks everyone. Will
