  1. Thank you!! Have you heard of "Compu pool"? An outlet sells them here and are an Australian produced company. Woder how they might be.
  2. Hi Folks - I need to replace my burnt our system from late last summer. I'm looking at this model as an option. Does anyone have one and/or do you know of any issues with it. It is the dual cartidge style, and you have to replace the Nature2cartridge every year. It's about $100, but doing that gives you lifetime warranty on the cell. It sells in this part of the country for about $1,400, but there's a sale next month for $1,100 from a local dealer. All that said, like everything in life, nothing is perfect, so I'm wondering what the view is with this chlorinator. As I do research, I may post questions before I make my final decision. Thanks in advance!!
  3. Typical: here we are in a heat-wave in southern Ontario, and my clorinator died. It's a "Chlormatic III, CM601", and was installed in 2004. We got 7 1/2 years out of it. Another typical: "Chlormatic" doesn't seem to exist anymore, so it appears that I'm going to have to replace the whole thing, as it's not much difference in price to replacing just the cell. Can anyone give me some good advice as to which brand I should go to? Many thanks in advance !
  4. Hi - I finally bought a solar blanket after a couple years of learning and getting fed up of heating my back yard instead of my pool (haha!). As I've never used a solar blanket before just a couple questions to help educate myself. First a couple facts: the pool is an in-ground 18x38 with salt water system. Now my questions: 1) With the solar blanket on, can I operate my my pump in order to circulate the water, re: the chlorinator. 2) With the solar blanket on, can I operate my pool heater (natural gas) in order to up the water temp. I know taking the blanket off when the sun is out is the best and economical way to heat the pool. However, I'm thinking of about 2 summers ago with a cool summer and lots of cloud, is this a good way to heat the pool (blanket on, and using the heater) when the sun is hiding, thereby keeping the heat in the pool? Thanks in advance for any insight!!!
  5. Update for you....... We bought a BC this weekend - model 720. We looked hard at them all, and the quality build along with the dealers reputation was what did it for us. Many thanks for the input and advice, and you'll no doubt see more questions from us as we become first-time hot tub owners! Again, thanks!
  6. Thanks Hotrod! I appreciate your insight. We are very new to this (it will be our first hot tub) so we can use all the advice we can get. Up to now the Coast Spa dealer has a "sale" on, in that there's some sort of factory pre-order gimmick thing on right now. The list on theirs was 14,065 (before taxes), but are at $11,800 everything in. A big difference! We are going back to Beachcomber tomorrow for another look and see if they have the same thing going on. Apparently they did back in April!
  7. Hi everyone We are about to buy a new hot tub in the very near future. We are looking at two Canadian made tubs and are very interested in opinions/advice. We are looking at the Beachcomber 700 series versus the Coast Spa Freedom deluxe series. These have the 2 pump system. The dealers in our area are well known in backing their products. We are in the $12,000 price range. What is your opinion on the quality of these manufacturers and these particular models Beachcomber has the pumps on the outside of the tub and Coast Spa on the inside. Also, Beachcomber does not have/use ozonator ye Coast Spa does. Any info or advice at all would be greatly appreciated before we depart with out money and become hot tub owners for the very first time!!!! Thanks in advance!
