  1. Thx Dave, diverting 1 jet pump for a single power seat works for me. I'll fit in the lounge and am 1" taller than your wife. Can you please tell me: > if any (& which) of the jets hit wife's low back area (ie: well below the waist line)? > does wife float out of lounge seat at normal jet divert settings? ... or at fully diverted, power seat setting? sales staff caim, "recumbant lounge = less float"... Appreciate your responses.
  2. Frankly, it would be just as reasonable for you to search a wider area for a dealer that has what you want to test. You might be a little to demanding? How have you arrived at these 2 models since you have not been able to even see them, much less tested them? Have you considered other brands? Hot Spring, Marquis and Sundance, to name a few, have spas with similar sizes. The Hot Spring Jetsetter is one of Hot Spring's biggest sellers. Searching a wider (30mile) radius now. Wet tested all small tub floor models that fit space (HS/Jettsetter; SDance/Capri).Visited all dealers at home show and Bullfrog showroom. No Marquis locally. Lengthy test at HS: liked JSetter except motomassage, just ok. Arrived at models via matching criteria (quality, size, low back jet/s)on mfg web sites and chats w/ sales staff. To your point: liked the JSetter alot (save MotoMsg), HSpring sales staff were great and even better now that I've many others to compare against! HS is known as a strong dealer in town. I'll search wider for small (filled) tub to test; locate a Marquis; relook HSprings. Appreciate inputs.
  3. Sure - that'd be perfect for serious qualifeid buyers of luxury items. Demanding/unrealistic...perhaps. That's why I'm posing questions and gathering information to form reasonalbe (fair) expectations. Hopefully unbias forum replies help. Jucizzi dealer offered to order and set up for wet test.
  4. Enjoy the forum. Shopping for smaller condo spa, w/ powerful low back therapy, purchasing in 2010 (soon as a wet test meets criteria). Considering: Caldera-Kauai or Jacuzzi-315. Visited Watsons/Caldera dealer (7 miles away), spoken by phone to nearest Jacuzzi dealer (30 miles away). Made it clear wet test is mandatory for final purchase decision. No models in stock (since Dec) however Jacuzzi dealer offered to order a J315 to wet test - no commitment from me (arrives in 2 wks). Caldera dealer (watsons), on the other hand, only offered to order a Kauai I agree to purchase first ("return at no charge if your not happy") I decline. Meanwhile Watsons offers me to wet test, next largest tub in Caldera line "Martinique" which wont fit my space but does have lounge seat & similar jet arrangements as tub Im considering (Kauai). Again, I've been clear w/ both vendors that wet test in exact mode is mandatory before I'll buy. Questions I'd appreciate input on: 1)How eager should Watsons be to order a Kauai "risk free, no committment" for my wet test? 2)Pros/cons of purchasing floor model(ordered for my wet test) vs negotiating a brand new/unwrapepd/unfilled spa? 3)How much of a discount can I expect to get for purchasing a floor model (as in #2 above)? 4)What's the 2010 "MSRP/list" price for a Caldera Kauai and Jacuzzi 315?
