I have a sta-rite 333 ver 6 control board. I started for the first time this year and it blew the firemans fuse. I ( didn't have a 1.25Amp so even though I know this to be wrong I used a 5amp), and now the blower runs for 20 sec. or so then shuts down then restarts but is not firing. The display spa on light is on and the heater light is blinking and I get no service or system lights. Blower just keeps turning on and off with heater demand light blinking. I then followed pin 1 j2 and all is good to j1 pin 3. IND fires blower. after AFS pin 8 j2 and pin4 j1 to TH at Fenwal it fires HSI which gets hot. At this point VAL at Fenwal control is not being energized with 24vac. Therefore pin 5 j1 is not hot and pin 1 j3 cannot continue the process for AGS and SFS to pin5 j3 allowing gas valve activation. I have the following questions; 1) Is the HSI not getting hot enough to energize VAL? How could I check this? 2) What caused firemans fuse to blow?...Is it before or after VAL? 3) Could it be the Fenwal, the control or both? I hope this enough info and can point me to the next step.
