I would start by downloading the manual and any diagrams available for your spa from the LA Spas site (they appear to have manuals for spas built after 2001). If you have an older spa, give them a call; perhaps they can provide one or talk in specifics about your situation. I'm a4 bit unclear why you would have to drain the spa (I know why you should, but that's a different matter) or why a shut off valve would ease this requirement. When I drained my older Hot Springs spa, I opened the access panel, located the drain connection (a small diameter flex hose fitted with a ball valve and removable end cap) and directed the water toward a nearby floor drain. You mentioned a leak in the first sentence; if the spa is leaking water, find out where it is going and trace it back to the source. Hi I have found the source its a coupling that you screw up tight, I think the washer inside needs replacing . the only thing is to replace the washer you need to unscrew the coupling[ which has a quite a diamiter] to get to the washer that sits inside it. but as soon as you start unscrewing the coupling the water just keeps comming because it is very low to the ground and gravity is doing its part.I also have a drainage flex but this plays no part really. Thanks for the links below and for your reply ....Cheers for now . http://www.hottubsdirectory.com/research/S...on_Site_Map.htm http://www.laspas.com/las_om.asp
