  1. We have been installing Viking Pools with very little trouble for over 13 years !! Their quality of their molds and attention to fit and finish is second to none. I am not going to badmouth Leisure Pools because they seem to have a nice product. In fact most of the pool manufacturers in the business have good products with fantastic warranties. Who you choose to install your pool and how it gets installed will make all the difference in the world.
  2. Illinois does not require a contractor to have any special licensing so be extra careful when choosing a contractor. It is always wise to make the contractor pull all necessary permits to minimize risk to yourself. You will have a lot more to fall back on should any problems occur.
  3. They will both look nice if done correctly. The pool shell itself is nothing more than the building block of the project. What you choose to do with the decking, landscaping and water features will make a lot of impact on the overall appearance. Both white and colored pools win design awards every year. Good luck.
  4. The ceramic core of a Viking pool is a layer used in the construction process that acts like a layer of Goretex in a glove. It is there to prevent osmotic blistering and also adds structural integrity. The ceramic layer is a patented process so Viking is the only company that has the ability to market and use the product. As for the other companies- they are going to bad mouth the product until the patent expires and then they will all tell you how great it is because they use it.
