  1. Thanks ChaiSTi Yes Heritage Spas a manufactured in Australia. As far as I can tell jets and pump are Waterway, controller is Gecko but Im not stuck on replacing the gear with the exact same specs. And Im not that well off that I can shell out 4 times the price I could get the gear from America. All Im asking the good people of the forum is for their opinions on the right gear for this size spa. And to the Poolandspadude! . . . Why would I take a current model spa with galvanised metal frame with all jets, plumbing and western red cedar skirt - All in great condition "Back to the DUMP"! Mate if you can't contribute something positive - WHY BOTHER POSTING! Cheers Glenn
  2. Thanks for the replies, I'm no electrician, but I think the power supply in Australia is 240v 50hz. I have been trawling the internet for the various parts and American companies run rings around the rest in both price and range. Im narrowing down the pump choices and I'm keen on the Waterway Executive 3hp 2 speed. Any opinions on this pump. Now I'm all for shopping local (Australia) but .... as an example the pump above in the USA is around $290USD. In Australia would you believe $1,142.00!!! I dont begrudge a business a mark-up but don't you think thats a bit rich! I figure even if the freight is a bit hefty I'll still be a mile infront if I source the gear from the States. Cheers Glenn
  3. Sorry should have told the whole story!! I need all these parts as I got the spa at the local dump! It consists of the spa shell, metal frame, red cedar skirt all plumbing. It is in mint condition and for some reason some person removed all the pump/ controller , blower and top control + a ozonator and dumped a perfectly good shell and skirt. So.... Im thinking for a couple of grand I could upgrade my old spa for a current model to my specs!! But not being a spa expert Im after suggestions from those in the know as to the right gear to put in it. Cheers Glenn
  4. Hi all Im rebuilding a spa that needs pump, control, blower and top control All would have to be 220v (Im in Australia) I'm after any suggestions on the right gear for the job. So far the supply outlets in Australia seem to be far more expensive than comparable companies in the USA. So I have been toying with sourcing all the gear from the USA. (freight maybe a killer) Has anyone had dealings with Poolbargains.com? They seem to have the best prices overall and do ship OS. To help with suggestions here is the original specs of the spa: Heritage Riverside Spa Pumps:1 x3.6 BHP [ Two Speed ] JetsTotal 56: Water Jets - 14 Air Jets - 20 Air Manifold Outlets - 22 Heater: 2.0 KW Controller:Gecko/Digital/Programmable Touch Pad Temperature Readout Filtration: 50 Sq.ft.Cartridge Blower: 1100 Watts Water Capacity: 700 Litres Thanks GlennG
  5. Thanks ChaiSTi I'm pretty sure that it would originally been 240v (being Australia) but as there are no electrical components on I can't be sure. The water plumbing is 2" and the air plumbing is 1.5". I'm sure its not plumbed for a 24hr circ pumb. I'm probably looking at using something like a Waterway 3hp 2 speed 2" side pump. Heater/controller, blower and top control still undecided. If I order these items from my local dealer it would be cheaper to buy a new spa!! e.g. Waterway 3hp 2 speed pump: US $189 Same pump Australia: $1200 AU Now I don't begrudge a business man a profit margin (I'm in business myself) BUT REALLY!! On that note anyone suggest a competitive company in U.S that is International Order friendly?
  6. Thanks all for your input I have tracked down the Make and model Its a Heritage Spa " Riverside". I think maybe its an Australian Manufactured spa hence the make would not be known in the States. The spa is a current model so cant be too old and I got it up the local tip (dump) Someone had thrown a spa (in great condition) complete except for the $$$$ bits ie: Pump/blower/control /ozonator/ control pad!!! Now my next question is this spa is a rebuild project and as I need to purchase these major items do I go with the original items for this spa or can I maybe improve the specs for the same $'s or less. Any suggestions as to spa packs / 2 speed pumps or dedicated circulation pump/ do I really need an ozonator?? etc. would be greatly appreciated. I guess I want to end up with a spa that works well economical to run and at the end of the day is salable. My last spa project started with my wife buying a shell on ebay and me building it a frame and plumbing it up with secondhand pump/heater & blower. Looks good. runs well but a bit rough under the hood!! and wouldnt sell well. The original specs of the Heritage spa are as follows: Riverside Pumps:1 x3.6 BHP [ Two Speed ] JetsTotal 56: Water Jets - 14 Air Jets - 20 Air Manifold Outlets - 22 Heater: 2.0 KW Controller:Gecko/Digital/Programmable Touch Pad Temperature Readout Filtration: 50 Sq.ft.Cartridge Blower: 1100 Watts Water Capacity: 700 Litres Cabinet: Western Red Cedar / Insulated lining Insulation: Closed Cell Foam Frame: Non - Rust Galvanised Steel Base: Non - Rot Moulded Plastic Hardcover: Key Lockable Hard Cover Electrical: 15 Amp Plug In Dimensions: 2200 x 1500 x 755 Optional Extras 24hr Circulation Pump 24hr Ozone (Corona Discharge) Light Thanks Glenn
  7. Here is some pics of spa that I am trying to identify. Also in Pic 2 it shows a little recess in the spa, its about 3/4" deep, clear plastic open on the back side and threaded (don't know what it is) Also in pic 3 the white jet seems missing something or is it a weird jet? In pic 4 circled section is a hard plastic section in the air line that as a small outlet on the side for a small pipe. any ideas as what this hooked up to? I can take more detailed pics if required cheers glenn
  8. Thanks Pathfinder Only picked spa up yesterday will post some pics tonight cheers glenn
  9. Hi to all. I have acquired a spa (minus pump/heater/blower and controls) and plan to rebuild it as a project!! I can't seem to find a manufacturers name on it It appears to be a 3/4 person spa and the only clue to the make is a large "H" in a palace script embossed on the top of the shell. It appears to have Waterway jets & filter. Any Info much appreciated. Cheers Glenn
