  1. Hello, I live in the Hamilton/Burlington area. My 8 year old Arctic Spa Summit Signature broke last night and I need someone to come repair it. Pump #2 isn't working and neither is the heater. Should I call Arctic Spa or is the a local guy that would do great job and not rip me off like Arctic Spas? Thanks for your help.
  2. Thank you very much I will take a look at the documentation to see if there is indeed an economy mode. I was also planning on calling the arctic spa store to see if they have any other thoughts...
  3. Hello, Our electricity provider has now moved us to "time of use" prices... Meaning certain busy times of the 24 hour day cost twice as much per kilowatt hour than other off peak times. Problem is that my hot tub isn't aware that heating the water at certain times during the day is going to cost me TWICE AS MUCH as other times. I have an Arctic Spa Summit Signature 2002. Restored it back into mint shape, but the topside controller doesn't have any timing settings. Has any one come across a solution for this or has Arctic Spa come out with any ideas/products that would help us set our tubs to only heat during off peak times?? Thanks, Jeff
  4. OK - so I figured out the problem. It looks like it's the topside control panel getting old and worn out. I was sitting in the tub this morning, and watched the water lapping up against it, and driving the temp setting down. Looks like the 'temp down' button is getting so sensitive that the touch of a wave of water activates it. Time for a new one I guess...
  5. In the meantime, I'm going to put a lock on my fence door leading into the backyard... we've got some neighborhood miscreants that could be the cause of this
  6. It's an older tub that i've refurbished... 2002. I woke up this morning and this time it was turned down to 97... just 5 degrees lower. I haven't even used the tub since last post or opened it up for that matter. This is the 3rd instance so far (in span of about 2 weeks) You mentioned about turning the tub on and off and checking for stuck buttons. I just tried that... actually without turning it off, so I can see if the temp #'s respond to my pressing of the buttons, and if it sticks beyond me touching them. I didn't notice ANY sticking (the temp #'s moving without me pressing them), and the #'s always moved when I pressed them. Now, though, when I pressed them, I didn't really feel any engaging of a switch, or click or anything. It feels more spongy. The buttons have always felt this way, and this is the first sign of said problem. What do you think?
  7. In the last 2 weeks, I've gone out to my hot tub to see the temperature setting on my arctic spa (summit signature) set down to 82F. The first time it happened, I thought either a friend playing a prank on me, or somebody sneaking into it late at night when I'm in bed. BUT - it happened again this morning. I went out to go in, and the actual temp was down to 98F (I usually have it set to 102F). Then I went to the temp setting and it was down at 82F again. It must've just happened b/c the temp of the water was only 4 degrees less than what I normally have it set at. There was no power outage last night either. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks... Jeff.
  8. Hi - brand new member here... just signed up tonight. I bought a 2002 Arctic Spa Summit Signature on Kijiji last August for only $2,000. I knew I would have to put some money into it to get it up to speed, since it was that cheap and 7 years old. I put a new heater, bought a new cover (from the coverguy), and swapped out the heater relay switch myself on the motherboard (instead of giving A.S. $750 for a new board). Now it runs like a gem, and has since I got it up and running back in November. I just have a question... I also had to replace about a dozen of the jets. I got most of them installed OK, but two of them (one 3inch and one 5 inch) don't work. I'm guessing I just didn't click them in properly, but I can't get them to go any further in, and they won't come out. They still turn left and right, but not as smoothly as the others... when I compare it just feels like somethings not lining up. Tonight, I really yanked on the 3 inch one trying to remove it, and the outside piece came off, but the internal piece is still stuck in there. The old ones came out easy, but I can't get these 2 new ones to come out. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THESE THINGS OUT WITHOUT DAMAGING ANYTHING AROUND THEM? I want to pull them out, and don't care if I break them... just replace them with 2 new ones. Thanks... Jeff

They got me to buy the Aqua Finesse at the Hamilton Mountain store, and it seems to work great. I just put it in once a week, and make sure the chlorine puck is good to go, and all's well there too.
