  1. I am a auto mechanic, Several of our customers are electritians. I have asked them and got different replys from all 3. seems that most know about the 220v hookup but never done a 110 v. That is why I am asking here. I have checked the manuel and dosen't really give much info except for Hire a electritian. I guess even if I hire someone I want to know they are doing it right mainly because there seems to be confusion on the 110v hookup. Thanks to everyone who gave a REAL responce.
  2. I have a nordic crown II that I bought used it was prevoiusly used inside and ran on a 110v 20 amp line. I plan to use it outside . my plan is to run a dedicated 20 amp line. I plan to start from a regular non gfci breaker in the box, to a 20 amp gfci outlet outside. the tub is going to have a 20 amp gfci levitron plug on the end of the tub cord and also a weather resistant cover on the outlet. Is this the best way to go? will I have a problem pluging a gfci plug into a gfci outlet? should I use a gfci breaker and regular outlet? Please help I have done many searches and cannot find a answer???
  3. Thanks guys, I figure even if I have to spend some money on iy it's still ok. I way mainly interested in the quality/problems with sundance tubs.
  4. Hi looking at used tubs, I found a sundance altimar aprox 2003 vintage. Are these tubs any good? do sundance tubs often have leaks? I can buy this tub cheap, but cannot test it. ( house is a foreclosure) tub was maintained by local spa company he has reciepts.
  5. I am a little weary of it being on it's side on such a small trailer, I am planning to haul it bottom down as it sits. Yes I can back the trailer right up to where it is, and where it's going. I have some of the large ratchet straps I am planning to use. My only concern was with the entire underside being not supported. I am no stranger to hauling things, just never a tub before. Tub is about a hour and half away from me. The trailer is flat across wheel wells are even with the deck of the trailer which works out perfect.
  6. Looking to move a tiger river bengal tub. specs say it is 7' x 7'6" I have a tiltable 4x8 utility trailer just over 4'wide is it ok for the tub to stick out over thr side?? My plan was to have a couple guys tilt the tub up at angle, then back the trailer under ( tilted ) let the tub down on the deck of the trailer, and slide on. strap down etc. Am I crazy?? Trailer is like the ones you see at home depot etc but is a little more heavy duty and is rated at 1200 lbs.
  7. going to look at a tiger river bengal this weekend
  8. Hi, new here I am looking for a used tub. I am trying to find that "old relyable" tub. I am looking for a 5/6 person. There are tons here on the local craigs list etc. I have a trailer to move one so that is not a problem. I have a backround as a mechanic , and also have plumbing/electrical skils but I never have worked on a tub. ( I have figured out by now that tubs always need work and a used one certainly will). My question is are there any tubs that you would suggest over others, that seem to be better older tubs?? I have heard the hot springs are good. I see a lot of the sovereign models for sale. I also see a lot of sundance tubs around here, but have read bad reviews about the older sundance tubs? I am looking for a simple tub and mainly "EASIER" to work on ( one built with standard parts ) I also want to stay away from a fully foamed tub. Any help would be great !
