  1. Started up my spa for the winter, and it wouldn't start. Had a tech come by and he told it was seized and that I needed a new one. I have a Marquis Spa 435 manufactured in 2009. I forgot to get the model of the defective unit. Anyways, I agreed to get it replaced, he charged me a total of about $800 for parts and labor. The pump installed is the Gecko Aqua-Flo XP2 (http://www.spapartsdepot.com/product/06120500-2040/Aqua-Flo-FMXPXP2-20-HP-230V-2-Speed-2-48-Fr-Pump-Part--06120-230.html ). The problem is that this pump is super noisy, creates all kinds of vibration against the pump access door, and you can actually feel the vibration when in the water! It's loud enough that I can actually hear it in my bedroom at night. Never had this problem with the previous pump. I'm having them come out next week to inspect, but if this isn't fixed I'm going to ask for a refund and go with something else. Any ideas?
  2. I use Accu Chek test strips. My pH has been around 7.6, Bromine was on the low side (2ppm). I adjusted everything. Reading through some threads, I think I might have yellow algae. I looked over the decon procedure. Is it okay to use that protocol with a bromine sanitized tub?
  3. I bought a Marquis "The 435" a couple of months ago, and have been continually having problems with haziness and yellow slime formation. This past week I was obsessive with maintaining the pH and hardness, and shocked the tub several times. I've attached some photos of what the tub looks like after all of that work. I'm using a SpaFrog with bromine and the tub does have an ozonator. Should I just start over?
