  1. Indeed the element went bad. I'll be taking a HOT tub tonight! Thanks all!
  2. Here's the story: I bought a house, with a Cal Spas PS-4 (1992?) 220V spa. It was working when I purchased the house. I then drained it, and refilled it. It was still working. A few weeks ago I cleaned the filter, and I think some air got in the system. I believe that I was able to bleed that out as the jets no longer have any bubbles in the system. On the control panel in the equipment area of the spa, the heater light is on. However, it does not heat. It sounds like it's kicking on, but there is no increase in temperature, and looking at my electric meter on the house, it doesn't look like it's drawing that much power, as before the meter went crazy when it was heating...and now it just moves slowly. It appears as if the high-temp switch is okay, as I push it in and it doesn't move. Does anybody have a suggestion? Is it most likely the element? Like I said, I had no troubles before, but it has seemed to quit on me now. Thanks!
