I dont want to appear like i am selling anything i just want to give my opinion. I have sold tubs with Onzen since early 2008 and i have seen no breakdowns or faults on the systems i have sold. The only minor problems i have seen are on initial start up getting the dosage right and once this has been solved everything has been great. Dont forget if there is a problem you will be covered by a 5 years parts and labour warranty. To answer your questions if the system failed yes you could still use the tub using a different sanitizer and yes you can unplug the system completely if you want to not use it. Hope this helps. Thanks for your reply UK, it does help to know that. ttrublue is right that the warranty here in Canada and I suppose the US is only 2 years for the Onzen system. Considering that the option is sorta thrown in at no additional cost ( probably trying to clear out the '09 models ) it makes the decision a little easier. I will let you all know how I make out! Thank you for the replies. Curioprop, glad to hear that things are running well with your system! The Cub Ultra that I'm currently considering to buy already has the "Onzen" system on it. From what the dealer tells me he is throwing in the onzen, cover lifter and northern lights for no additional cost? He showed me the list price on the spa and it seems to be accurate. I am having a hard time deciding whether to take it or not. It seems like a great deal.!! Questions: - If the system fails can I still use the tub? - If in the future I decide I don't want it can I bypass the onzen system and use the tub the old fashion way?

I am currently considering buying a Cub series with Onzen and was looking for some positive feedback. After reading some of the posts on here, I am having some serious doubts as to whether this system is a good idea to buy? Maybe all the kinks haven't all been ironed out yet and waiting till they are would be advisable?? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks John
