  1. This is a brand new replacement for an existing starite 400na which lasted 10 years. Of course no firing because of the ps fault. I do have flow...actually took off and tested the furnace without the pressure switch..water fountain goes up 6 feet. tried another spare ps switch same fault result. Is there a wiring issue I should check? It seems very unlikely both water pressure switches(one brand new) are bad. i also turned off the breaker for 1 minute to see if a reset was required and back washed the filter which is running at 25 pounds. What else can i do?
  2. I have a ten year old sta-rite 400na I'm getting ready for use, When it starts, I do get ignition and firing sequence, but a lock out after 20 seconds and the error code'eo305" I do hear a rumbling and a sound (thumping) in the heat exchanger. Fixes to date: Found that the black endcap/air oricfice has one tube (the upper) broken off. Line cleared(it was clogged) and will get part. Found that that water pressure switch was clogged. All clear now. This furnace has had very light use(less than 5 hours per year) so I doubt carbon buildup in the heat exchanger. Any thoughts? I'm going through evry checklist but still can't seem to track it down. Sincerely, John
  3. ...The shear bolt would break 2x per year...it's a ten year old installation. I'll put in a call to the local saf t dealer but find him not very good,,,I'll pay extra for quality, but don't feel a premium price for average work is fair. The cover is in good shape with one small tear from the rope to the side...about 4 inches. One alternative(I'm in pa ) is to install an anchor cover(25 by 50)....and use the automatic in the summer. Probably the biggest concern I have is the dealer network.
  4. I have a broken rope on a saf t automatic pool cover.....anyone know what replacement rpe is needed, and how to string i?
