I had a repairman come out and replace the gas valve (under home warranty) but when he installed the new gas valve, the burner tray disintegrated.
I can purchase the lower burner assembly for ~$300 from my local pool supply store. I am pretty good with my hands but I have no experience with natural gas (sealing pipes and such). Though most of the existing burner tray is non-existent, it appears fairly simple to install.
Are there any difficulties with this installation project that I should outsource to a specialist?
Thanks for your help.
