  1. lol................we had not even considered that, and yet, since everything else has been checked out and repaired, sounds very plausible...........will keep an eye on it....................thanks
  2. the temperature remains a steady 104.................the spa is not in a filter cycle, but probably once an hour, it turns on for perhaps 30 seconds, then shuts off...................it has two new pumps, a new heating unit. the turning on and off, started a few days ago, previous to that, it was not happening. we just bought the tub from a private owner this summer, replaced all the pvc, the pumps and the heater and just got the thing running...................not sure if the turning on and off is something of concern, just a new behavior................
  3. You could just be seeing the normal behavior of the Spa. The Spa will turn itself on to raise the temperature, then turn itself off when it gets there. Say you set the temperature to 100. When the temperature of the water drops to 98 or 99, the Spa will come on to heat the water back up to 100. When the water temperature reaches 100, the Spa shuts itself off. Is that what you're talking about? Does the Heat indicator light come on during these cycles?
  4. I need some help with my tub..............the thing keeps switching itself on and off every 20 minutes or so...............temperature is holding, everything else is running great, it just switches itself on for a very short time, then turns itself off...............pumps are new, heater is new, can't figure out why it is doing this and can't find any information in the troubleshooting section of my owners' manual. any help would be appreciated as we have just gotten this thing up and running................and winter is coming. thanks!!
  5. The manual does not offer info because they don't want you to exceed 104 F. However, you can gain a few degrees by adding resistance in series with each sensor. Use the same size resistors on each sensor. Try a 2.2 KOhm 5 percent tolerance type. Remember though, you are fooling the electronics, so the actually temp reading will not be accurate. You might set it for 104, but actually attain 107. John thanks!!!...............we are only looking for a few more degrees anyway, will try this and see if it helps.
  6. Good Morning, I bought a 1997 Coleman 447 used. We have repaired, filled and are enjoying our spa but wonder if anyone knows how to override the factory setting which does not allow the tub to be set higher than for a temperature of 104. We would like to get a few more degrees out of our tub. The manual does not offer information on an override. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. I recently purchased from a private owner a 1997 Coleman model 447...........without an owner's manual. After some repairs to tubing, all motors and jets work...............however, I cannot get the tub to heat...............nor can I, without having the owner's manual understand the programming of the console. When it is running, the indicator tells me it is set to cool..............and thus there is no heat. If someone could provide some lead on how to program the console to start up the heater, I can try to figure out whether it is working or perhaps, needs to be replaced..................thanks!!!
  8. Hello, I recently purchased from a previous owner, a Coleman 447 spa made in 1997. Unfortunately, the previous owner did not have the owner's manual. After some tubing repairs and re-wiring, the tub works..................except for the heating element. I am also in need of the manual in order to understand the mode and programming nuances of this product. If anyone could point me to a website or resource for this manual, I would greatly appreciate it.
