  1. I have been following the instructions as stated with N2 for about 2 months now with good results. I am typically the only one that uses the tub, and use it daily. When there is someone other then me, I have always added a little more dichlor prior to having them in the tub, just to be sure there is enough free cholrine in the tub. One thing I have noticed is that my ph tends to drop and am assuming that it is from the adding of MPS on a reagular basis, but could be wrong.
  2. Thank you for all the info. Yes it sounds like I have the orginal Espree, and it still looks almost like new, besides the redwood skitting needs a little work. If I were going to use the external timer, is this just a 20 amp timer that plugs into the wall, kind of like a christmas light timer? thanks Eric
  3. Thanks, but I am wondering if the newer circulation pumps are smaller and designed to run 24 /7. My 1 hp 2 speed pump runs always on low, maybe there is something with the way the heater is hooked up and not telling the pump to shut off when the temp is reached. The cord from the heater has 3 wires, that I am guesing are hot, nuetral and ground. Does anyone know if there should be be any addtional wires coming from the built in theomstat in the heater to the contol box? The box simpy consit of an airswitch, 2 identical relays. thanks, Eric
  4. I was given an old Jacuzi Espree spa and it is a dinosaur! It holds 170 gallons and runs on 120v. It is up and running and have been enjoying it for a few weeks. I thought that when it is in heater/filter mode that the motor would turn off when the temp was reached, but it keeps running even when the temp gets to the setting. Everything is mannual, no electronics, and I am concerned that it is possibly too old for that feature!! I am terrified to see what my electrical bills could be with the 1 hp pump running in low speed 24 /7. Besides that, I am concerned that the motor may burn out quickly! Does this sound normal for an old hot tub (maybe late 80's early 90's)? If so, it is ok to run like this, besides the energy use? Thanks!! Eric
  5. I have well water also, full of Iorn. I just filled mine with water from my softner, and increased the hardness with calcium to the correct level. Or try a pre filter that attaches to your hose, or use both. Unfortunately my tub is at my deer hunting cabin and it is remote and without a softner. I will investigate the hose filter, that iron makes a real mess of the filter and the tub. You could try this one: http://www.spadepot.com/shop/Pre-Fresh-Spa...r-P784C635.aspx

  7. Thank you, I will just have to wait then!
  8. So I filled my tub for the first time with the Nature2 system and followed the instructions included with the package see link. http://www.nature2.com/files/TL2700_Nature...ners_Manual.pdf It say to add 1.5 tablespoons of dicholor to every 250 gallons of water at start up. I did this, and my FC is staying high, is this too much dicholor? did I do something wrong, and will it come down? thanks, Eric
  9. Hey Chris, Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am having the same promblem. Any advice? thanks, Eric Hey Eric, I sorta kinda fixed it. Turns out its probably the thermal overload in the motor itself. I will have to bite the bullet soon for a new motor. In the meantime I replaced the 3 hp impeller with a 2 hp impeller and took some of the load off. For the size of the tub it still works pretty good. I now get 2 speeds and its not shutting off. I feel that its only a temporary fix but sometimes these things can last a long time. Chris THanks Chris
  10. Thanks for all the info. Nitro, Could I use well water if I am going to be using Spa Flush to decon, or does this need to be balanced water like step 2 when using to bleach? thanks,Eric

  12. Is it possible that the promblem was due to an airlock? I was given this tub, and this was the first fill to test it out. I have never owned a tub before, so I did not realize this could happen. Would an airlock cause the motor to run fine in low speed, but cycle on high speed? or would it do it on either speed? thanks, Eric

  14. Thank you. I set up a dedicated 12 gauge wire on a 20 amp circit from the box. I will have to test the power and see what happens when it tries to go to high speed. Could it also be the starter compacitor on the motor? Eric
  15. I recived an older Jacuzzi hot tub, 115v with a 2 speed pump /motor that is about 2 years old (so I was told). The controls are very basic and has a air swtich that turns the pump to about 4 modes, no electronic controls. The motor runs good in low speed, but when pressed to go into high speed the motor tries to start but dies and waits a about 10 seconds and tries again and fails. Is my motor bad? Or could it be the air swtich? Other? Thanks for you help! Eric
