  1. Just use contact cleaner. With the power turned off. You will have to take the cover off the relay and spray inside it. Is it mounted on a PCB or does it have fly wires? To be honest it's probably just as easy to buy a new relay and replace it.
  2. Did the tub have water in it, or was it completely dry? If you don't want to do a full Decon., you should still give it a good shock (20-30 ppm), and let it sit a few days before using it. Then, on your next refill do a Spa Flush. That will really clean the pipes out. After doing a shock, check your Chlorine Demand (CD) (see below). It should be around 25% (assuming you don't have an ozonator). If it's higher than 50%, I would seriously consider doing a Decon now. Just my opinion. Yeah the spa was empty and as it turned out unused for around 7 years. I did a full clean/fill cycle etc and everything appears good. Throwing a tablespoon of MPS in before use and a little lithiumhypochlorate after each use (and once a week) seems to keep everything where it should be. Thanks for the info and sorry for the late reply.
  3. Cool, thanks for the info. The spa hadn't been used for around 4 years before I cleaned it out. All looked good after cleaning. I figured the N2 wouldn't be enough for a decent bathing load. Cheers
  4. Hello all, Does anyone have any experience with using Nature2 sticks in spa's? I have just moved into a new (old) house which has an oldish spa installed. Everything works just fine so I cleaned it out and filled it up. On the advice of the local spa/pool guy I put an N2 stick in the filter cartridge and use MPS to "shock" the spa before getting in plus once a week. I am concerned that the N2 stick might not be the safest option on its own. There are 3 of us in the house plus visitors so the spa usually gets a daily workout. It's onlt been a week so currently everything is still healthy. Should I use lithium hypochlorite once a week (to keep up CH) and then still shock with the MPS? If so whats the point of using the N2 stick? Any advice appreciated.
