  1. Visit My Website I think I found the leak? I've posted some pis on photobucket. Any ideas on how to find out for sure where the water is coming from? I plan on recaulking the tile and then next spring redoing tile completely!
  2. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a home with an inground gunite pool that is about 21 yrs old. From what I can tell the pump and filter cartridge housing were all updated in 2001. I am new to the pool thing and so far I have kept water chemistry balanced, however when the pump is on, water begins to drain out the overflow drain. I have noticed a few small leaks around the pump where the pvc joins into the top of the pump and one where the vaccuum port on/off switch is. My question is ....would these two small leaks cause a pressure leak on their own or should I look for a bigger problem. I am going to reseal the two leaks this weekend with epoxy but for now the pump is only being ran 2-3 hours a day due to leak. Also, there is an inground attached spa and for the past couple of days it has filled itself to the brim when the pump is on. Not sure why. On the return side, where drains into pool, there are a few bubbles. Any recommendations on how to check this out? Any information is appreciated. My husband is active duty Air Force and is deployed for 1 more month, therefore I am stuck having to figure this out on my own without spending alot of money.
