  1. Many thanks for the replies, Your right i know nothing about electricity! Had a fully qualified elecrtician put down the cable, correct according to building regulations here in England. Have spoke to the dealer who has assured me that a 20Amp supply is fine. I have no reason to distrust the dealer, after all, so far he has been out within 24hrs each time a pump has failed! Excellent service, just think no harm in a second opinion? May be i have been unlucky and had 3 faulty pumps? If there are any electricians out there?; I know all components within the tub simply add up to 30Amps, but if they all where running and trying to draw 30 Amps-would the 20 Amp breaker trip? It doesnt trip so maybe the dealer is right? Hope that makes sense !! Cheers Stu.
  2. No manual specific to the savannah hottub. just a spacrest brochure. In the brochure small 2/3 seaters are recommended 16 or 20 amp. But all larger 6/7 seaters and all the vision range are 32amp. Dealer told me 20 amp. Doesn't look good does it? I think it requires a 32 amp circuit.
  3. Hello there, Bought a new hottub 2 weeks ago. A spacrest savannah from their coastal range. Since delivery the secondary pump has packed in and been replaced. Then the primary pump. And then the primary pump again this morning. Dealer says he has never heard of it? 3 Pumps in two weeks (Aqua-flo xp2 pumps, 5yr gaurantee!) Searching on these forums i have found out that pumps can get hot and fail through low voltage supply. So out i went and checked the hottub. Each pump draws 9 Amp. The heater-3KW (Balboa GS501Z controller) draws 12 Amp. Thats a total of 30Amp. So i would say it needs a dedicated 32 Amp supply. The dealer told me to put in a 20 Amp supply ready for deivery 2 weeks ago? Is this tub 32 or 20Amp? Could this be the cause of 3 pumps failing prematurely in the first 2 weeks? ANY help much appreciated ! Thanks Stu.
  4. Cheers guys, duly noted. Whatever i can work out-will not b leaving the tub without a sanitizer.
  5. Hello all! Newbie here, just purchased my first hottub here in sunny England! Have my first question of no doubt many! Going away for two weeks soon and wondering what to do with the spa. Leaving it on, filtering and heating. Dealer recommends a 'floater' with some chlorine tabs in to slowly release chlorine while i'm away. My question is; Why? Why can't i just leave it for 2 weeks? No-one is geting in it. Then when i'm back from hols test and adjust chemical levels appropriately and start using it again? Apologies if this is a noob question but we've only had the tub 10 days! A Spa-crest 'Savannah' from their new coastal range. larger than the standard Spa-Crest range but without the bells and whistles of their Vision range.
