  1. All, Fairly new owner (October) of a HS Grandee. I've noticed my water levels going down over the past few weeks and find myself adding around 8 gallons of water each week. I know I'm going to lose some water with suits - people getting in and out of the tub - just seem to be noticing it more lately. Is it normal for me to lose more water in the winter? I don't think I have a leak - I do notice some wet spots around the skirt but I think that is from the cover. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! Jeff
  2. Something is wrong. My water was also around 50 degrees from the hose, but I was up to 102 in five or six hours if I remember correctly. I know for sure it was same day. My Electrician did the same thing on my Grandee.......Love our tub......enjoy! Aha! The spa tech was just here. Seems the electrician hooked the power supply fr the heater up to the wrong terminal in the spa control box. He swapped the wire over, turned on the power and "click" on came the heater. Now the wife is calling the electrician to give him hell and see what he intends to do about it. At the very least, we are not paying full price for the job. I feel bad for the poor guy, even I'm scard of my 130 lb woman......
  3. We just got our Grandee about a month ago and love it. Mostly just the two of us...we love to have the extra room.......We have had up to 5 adults in our tub.....very comfortable....enough room for everyone.......got to go......getting ready to soak
  4. Most spas have a timed pump cycle when you hit the button. My Jacuzzi will only run for 20 minutes at a time...then you have to turn them back on by hitting the button again.....and every 20 minutes thereafter. Do yours turn back on after you hit the button again? They do....tonight they didn't cut on right away but after a few minutes. My pumps have run for hours without cutting off. We have been using the spa nightly for about a 1/2 hour at a time. The cutoff has only occured after the extended runs
  5. Hi, We have a new Hot Springs Grandee and on a couple occasions during some parties (with the pumps running a few hours) the jet pumps have just cut off. No breakers are tripping. Is this some sort of protection built in to the pumps. Just trying to figure out why this is happening and if I should be giving the pumps a break when they are running during an extended period. Thanks for the info. Jeff
  6. Hey Folks, New to the Hot Tub world but have been lurking on this site for a few months as we decided on a new spa. We purchased a Hot Springs Grandee a few months ago. Had to order it - add on to our deck and a few other things to get it ready. Just had our first soak today and couldn't be happier. Just wanted to thank everyone for their postings and helpful hints.
