No, no, no, and no

Okay so here's my problem. Last summer i bought a house that had a 15X30 inground pool, with a pump and DE filter that are both 30+ years old. The pool was open and operational when i moved in and worked fine all summer, opened it this spring and not so much.When i turn it on it takes a couple min to get a prime then works good for about 5 to 10 min.Then i lose 10-15psi have little suction at the skimmer and little frow back to the pool, and the spot where the basket is on the pump is not full of water. There appear to be no leaks aroung the pump or filter, i have replaced the gasket on the cover to the basket, tried lubercated the gasket, and flushed out the filter following manufacture's instructions with no luck. anyone got any idea's or suggestions?
