  1. I can't tell anything from your pics. I do know that you can always carefully take a hair dryer and shrink wrinkles or puffy spots out of the liner provided its above water. Vinyl shrinks with a little heat, so if your really not happy with the wrinkle or its unsightly, just heat them and rub as you heat and they will usually disappear. But I would wait and see what the sun will do over a couple hot days. That may actually take care of it for you. I am sorry to say it does shrink with heat, it stretches and also can melt a hole if not careful Thanks the responses Tedoff and PS588! Some pretty big wrinkles have since developed under the waterline in the same area. One of them is 3 or 4 feet long. Hopefully I can get the installer back out here to take a look. I have heard about the blow dryer and also about using a toilet plunger, but I'm afraid I might just make things worse... Thanks again. Dave
  2. I've posted this in another forum, but I'd like more opinions: We just had a new vinyl pool liner installed in our in-ground pool by an installer with a good reputation. In the shallow end of our pool near the steps, the liner is puffed out about an inch or so with air above the waterline, like the liner is slightly too tall or too big. The installer said it should settle in over time... My questions: Do you think it will shrink? Can it be fixed? Should I worry about it? Here are some pictures: http://s61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/dave...6/Pool%20liner/ Thank you in advance for any guidance. Dave
