  1. Hi, I have a question concering winterizing an inground vinyl lined pool. I removed the eyeballs from the filter returns and want to install the winter plugs. After I removed the eyeballs, the returns now have a large male threaded section. The plugs have a smaller male threaded section. I know these have worked before because I had the pool winterized professionally last year. There are outer covers around the threaded sections but it looks like there are screws going through them, so I cant imagine that I would want to remove them. If I feel inside the fittings I can feel a female threaded section that would fit the plugs but they are too far in to reach the threadson the plugs. Do I need to remove these outer collars? Will I be ripping through the liner if I try this. Your help is greatly appreciated.
  2. I have had the pool and heat pump for 5 years. I have had it closed by a local pool company every year since I got it. Is it something that has to do with bad winterization or anything like that? Do you have an idea of what a new compressor would cost. I can get some local labor charges, but I will have to find the part on my own. Sounds like it's going to be expensive. Not a good year for this to happen Thanks for your response
  3. Hi, I have an EUS Mark Heat Pump Pool Heater. When I turn on my heat pump, I get an LP code on the display. I have noticed that there is an oily liquid around the heat pump. When I look inside there is about an inch of this same liquid inside. Could this be refrigerant? Could there be a leak? What would I need to repair this item
