  1. Turned out it was the heater. I'm guessing it was causing a ground fault situation, because 50 amp breaker would trip when current draw was only 35 amps. anyway its working fine now. thanks again.
  2. Generally, this could be a number of things. Could be that you have a bad breaker, that isn't handling the load very well and is tripping off. Could be that the breaker (and the accompanying wire) isn't rated to handle the amount of amperage your jet pump(s) is trying to draw. You'll probably need to get more information to get help for this. Such as, what size breaker you're using, and what amp draw your jet pump is rated at. This could either be an issue for your spa dealer, or a qualified electrician depending on what's going on. Thanks for your quick response! The spa is a 2005 gulf coast cool night series. It is a Cape Haze single pump with blower. The manual spec is for a 50 amp/gfci with 6/3 wire size. The breaker is a 50 amp GFCI wired with 6/3 wire. The spa ran fine for two months prior to this problem. The spa runs fine on low pump speed, heats up to temp setting, and blower works fine. It trips breaker every time after 30 secs to a min on pump hi speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. The tub is drawing more power than the breaker is rated for. But without that information from we I am only speculating. What is the breaker listed for? What is the spa rated to have?
