  1. I changed the sub panel from a Eaton/Cutler Hammer to a Square D with real 220, and all is good. Thanks for the responses. I appreciate your help.
  2. As far as the oddball Grandee subpanel is concerned, go to your local Home Depot and buy a Square D Homelite 100amp outside power panel. Outside is the key word. You will also need a 20 amp and 30 amp breaker for the sub panel. Inside your house you should install a 50 amp GFCI breaker in your main panel. All told you will be at around $100. Obviously if you need to run the two 8 gauge hot leads, 10 gauge ground and 12 gauge neutral that will add on to the cost, but you can do it yourself for far less than $500.
  3. Correction, the 120 on the board where the pumps connect is between the black and green. The neutral drops out when you turn on the switches. I jumped a neutral from the 1900 box to each one individually, and the breaker pops. I know I can now hook up switches manually and get the tub running, but I don't really want to bypass the board.... Any thoughts would help. Thanks
  4. Look in the manual or on the back on the cover to the control box and make sure your electrical hook-up is as required. I have 120 at the red and 120 at the blue on each side of the two terminals. There are a blue and red in both #12 and #10. The #12 is connected to the 20 amp breaker and the #10 is connected to the 30 amp breaker. This seems goofy, but that is how Hot Springs shows it. As far as I can see there is only one fuse on the back of the board, it seems OK, I tested continuity. I metered where the pumps wires connect to the board. When I turn on either/both Jet 1 & 2 I read 120 across the black and white, but still nothing from the pumps. I disconnected the black and whites from the board and momentarily connected each of the pumps to a direct 110 source. Both worked fine. At least I know the pumps aren't bad, what could I be missing? I don't have much more hair to scratch off...... Thanks for the help.
  5. By the way, I forgot to write that when I push the jet buttons I can hear what I am assuming are the relays clicking, but the motors do not turn on.
  6. Hello, We are new to tubbing, and of course with new things comes questions and potential problems. We just bought a used ('03) Hot Springs Grandee. When we looked at the tub, it was running with hot water. It is now at my house and I just finished connecting the electrical. The control panel lights up. There sounds to be a small pump/motor running. The shell is vibrating with a very low hum. Is this the ozonator? Anyway, I pushed the clean button, the indicator on the screen shows the jets function, but the main pumps are not running thus no jets and no circulating water. I pushed the clean button to turn it off and tried both of the actual jet buttons, still nothing. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you
