  1. I haven't gotten any replies on my other questions, but I'll see if I can get any answers for this question! (I think I asked too many questions at once! lol) I had never heard of an inline (or offline?) chlorinator (for an above ground 21x41) until I saw something on another post here. Can anyone tell me how they are installed - a picture of one installed would be - well, worth 1,000 words!!
  2. We have a 21 x 41 x 54" Artesian Seville II pool put in in either 04 or 05. It was here when we bought the place late last summer. We tried to put a cover on the pool for the winter (we're in Central IL) but we couldn't get enough water on it to make it stay on. The ice storms pretty much demolished the liner, so we need to get a new one installed ASAP. The insurance company will cover it, but is fighting me over the costs. I do have some questions - and keep in mind - anything that will TRULY save me time and money later on, I'm willing to do. Anything that is just going to cost me more without added benefits - eh.. not so much willingness! 1) There is a tiny (about the size of my pinky finger) hole at the very bottom of the pool wall in one of the panels. It did go through the liner, but that was patched with no problem. Do I need to replace that panel (or the complete pool wall as someone suggested)? Or just sand it down, and paint it to eliminate rusting? 2) Do I need to replace the wide mouth skimmer? 3) I was reading something about 2 returns on that large of a pool - how does that work? 2 pumps and everything? 4) What about liner bottom and or pool wall liner? Necessary or no? (I don't know if anything is down now, but I doubt it) 5) The current liner is a JHook. One dealer said I should switch to beaded so the next time we don't have to take the top rails off to change the liner. Another said that kids will end up popping the beaded out of the receiver and I guess that makes sense too! 6) I've pretty much decided to go with a 25mil liner. Any reasons to go higher (28mil)? 7) The quotes from dealers range from about $2000 to $5700 just to replace the liner? Why the big difference?? 8) I live in the country, and our well can in no way shape or form fill the pool, so we're trucking it in from town. Any advice on that? Sorry for so many questions! I have more, trust me, but thanks SO MUCH for any insights!! We used the pool for about a month last year and then got hit with all these expenses and problems! I really really wish that pool was not there!!!! But since it is, we're going to make the best of it, and have fun with it!!
