Take the union apart at the input for the pump and see if it is right there. Should of got sucked down to the pump or to the first bend it couldn't make before the pump. Does it take a special tool to get the union loose?

Has anyone ever had the little stick that keeps the nature 2 cartridge up in the filter fall off? It went into the middle of the filter and disappeared down the pipe. I think it is in the heater line headed towards the pump. What should I do? I drained the hot tub.
