  1. I'd go with the Sundance, especially if it's cheaper. I was looking at the same two tubs (I assume you're talking about the thread I made on this same subject)...and in my area the Jacuzzi was WAY cheaper, which makes sense since the Jacuzzi 300 series is a cheaper line than the Sundance 880 series, which is top of the line. To compare apples to apples you'd have to compare the Jacuzzi 400 line with the Sundance 880 line. So ESPECIALLY at those prices, I'd probably go with the Sundance. With the stereo option , the $8800 is a good price out the door...assuming it hasn't been wet forever or anything. The Jacuzzi is WAY overpriced Thank you soo much for the reply... I also was just quoted out the door for a Tiger River Caspian, w/o Radio but with ozonator, brand new off the truck for $7874... I like this tub as well... Any insight? The Sundance is 1000000X better than the Tiger River, especially considering the fact that it's the 880 series and is Sundance's top of the line...AND it comes with the stereo option which is normally at least another $1000 on top of the base spa price. For $1000 more, you're getting a much better tub than the Tiger river...the stereo option is just gravy on top of that Now I'm not going to say your opinion is wrong because it is after all your opinion but the 10000000x part might be a bit over the top. I'd skip the stereo option all together and just compare the spas. I appreciate both sides and I am taking the stereo option out of the picture.. It just seems for that price of the Sundance is more than what I wanted to budget, however I'm sacrificing more options than the amount of $$ I'll go over budget. I'm with synapse - the J365 is like the Tiger River and w/o the stereo option getting pretty much the same with each but for $7899x.05 = ~$8300... Saving $500 going with either of them compared to a Top of the line Sundance w/ (what I've read here) better filtration/power/warranty/options(stereo, lighting)... Only thing I'm hesitant on is whether being outdoors for the year at the dealership (who states never seen water) really affects anything... It's an outdoor leisure toy anyway?? Plus I've got the warranty and the dealership doesn't charge to come out if under warranty. BUT, there's still something holding me back from pulling the trigger... maybe I just have champagne taste with a budweiser budget? Is there ANYTHING better for $8800 out the door in this league of spas??? Well, everyone has their opinion, but I purchased a new 08 Hot Springs Vanguard last August for $8100OTD. That is a big step up from the T/R and every bit as good as a Sundance. So far it has passed ALL my expectations. the Moto massage is amazing, it has operated absolutely flawlessly and has been very economical to run, despite the fact it is used every night in a very very cold climate. If you looked at a T/R, he most likely sells Hotsprings, too. Also, I have read alot of negatives about having an air blower motor, which the Sundance 880 series all do. I can't speak from experience on that, just what I have read on this forum. You might want to do a search.... Whatever you do, don't even think about buying without a WET TEST! It is a must. I found the tubs I were considering I didn't even like after wet testing, and some I wasn't even considering were my favorites....I shutter to think what I would have ended up with if I would have not wet tested! Don't be shy, the dealers welcome it. Randy Thank you Randy for the insight.. I'll search and research the air blower thing tonight. I really liked the Vanguard as well but the dealer wasn't even talking under $9kOTD which really turned me off... that didn't include the stereo either... I was willing to pay $8300OTD on the H/S Vanguard but any figure I proposed, they were downsizing the tub... so wasn't making any progress IMO... moved to the next. I'm going to really think and test the Majesta tomorrow and see what else the dealer can throw in... Perhaps I'll get a hydrotherapy prescription and cut the .05% taxes out... LOL Anyway, my mind is about made up and Jacuzzi nor H/S is touching this deal anyway... so I guess they can afford to wait for the bigger fish.. We'll see. I'll keep the forum posted.

  4. sorry, I just saw a similar post from January... I think I might go with the Sundance.. She isn't throwing in the ozonator and they mentioned it has never been wet. But, this floor model does come with the stereo upgrade, stainless (guess that's an 800 series default). Only thing I don't really get a good warm and fuzzy on is that it's been outside so they are replacing the cover and cleaning up... Full factory warranty from delivery... good warranty or no?
  5. Hello. I am in Hampton Roads, VA and have been pricing out and searching daily for information about spas. It is pretty overwhelming and did not know too much until I started looking at this forum, and I'm more lost Anyway, I have a couple offers: Floor Model Sundance Majesta w/ Stereo, Arm/Cover, Steps, Sahara, Mahogany for $8800 out the door (Taxes, setup, 3months Chemicals, Full warranty from delivery date...) Jacuzzi 365 w/ Radio $8899 ordered not including taxes.. There's some conflicting info on this subject and wondering if I'm even comparing apples to apples since the Majesta is Sundance's Top Tier spa and J365, jaccuzi's middle tier? What should I be looking for? PLEASE HELP. I'm ready to start soaking...
