  1. We are just breaking into the spring season and it's getting a bit warmer. It's at that point though, where the weather is hot enough to go swimming, but the pool temperature is still fairly cold to actually swim in. My question here is, our dryer vent goes out to our backyard, close to the swimming pool. I was thinking of capturing this heat and using it to heat my pool. Has anyone tried doing this and if so, any success stories? Anything that I should watch out for? How did you transfer the heat from the dryer vent to the swimming pool? I was thinking of just hooking up a plastic 3 inch wide hose from the vent and running it to the pool. Drew
