  1. Why not take the measurements down to your local spa store and have them order you one. As far as the stereo problem, contact Costco by email or their contact page...I would think that would work.
  2. This is NOT a big deal. Cement guys will look at you funny anytime you want something WITHOUT a pitch. The gunite pool walls will act as structural support for your slab. It's fine, you're not building a skyscraper. Reinforce the cement with rebar...done.
  3. Here's some really good questions to ask : How long has your company been selling spas? How long has your company been selling your present brand of spa? Do you sell more than one manufacturer and if so, why? Do you own the property/ building you’re operating from? Do you deliver the spas yourself, or sub-contractor? Do you service the spas yourself, or does an independent, perform the service? Do I call you when I have a question on the operation of the spa or another Company? Is there any trip charge for service work performed during the warranty? Are the years of service you advertise combined among employees or actual time your company has been operating in the spa business? Is the owner of the company a spa/ hot tub expert?
  4. Think I'll have to reconsider my relationship with the LORD. I've seen the light. It's changing color, OOPS--just jammed up the volume on the Spaudio. I see this guys mouth moving, as if he's talking, but no words are coming out.
  5. I love all the business people like JIM send my way! The two spas we delivered today were to families who liked the fact "We were the only company who didn't badmouth another." Keep drivin' em in! THANK YOU, JIM! I just hope dealers, internet wizords, and the like keep bad mouthing the competition, IT'S GREAT FOR BUSINESS!
  6. Chas- 11:31am post.....................you'd think there was nothing more to say.......and there wasn't.........NICE!
  7. In Connecticut, Tp(dead air space spas: as long as the wind isn't blowing) spas cost about $100-$150 per month to operate in the winter, especially those with pumps that have stickers on them claiming 6hp. Full-foam spas on the other hand, cost about $35-$40 per month to operate. We know, we've hooked electric meters(like what the electric company uses) and tracked them with the homeowner. No opinions or hot air there.
  8. Innovators have to come up with something new to be innovative. How many acrylic/ fiberglass blister zits have I've popped in spas manufacturered in less than controlled environments. Using the same old flow thru heaters, air blowers, warm air insulation(as long as the wind isn't blowing it out of the compartment). I can do that in my garage too. But I better spend my time selling a nationally backed product with over 500 dealers in the U.S. If a Shell is Great, it will have a great warranty. PERIOD. Chas wrote: The choice is up to the consumer - but I would put comfort, performance and style ahead of the shell material. Why get hung up on one component. I suppose next we'll be disecting an air blower and looking at if the brushes are replaceable when they burn out.
  9. As little as possible. No warranty doesn't transfer. We just moved a '02 Landmark (early Vista) for a guy who picked it up for $2,500.00. It's toobad I missed it. Iwould have polished it up and sold it for $4,000. new cover chems, delivered, subpanel
  10. I used to be a tech, but Dad retired. Now I get to worry about the $6,000.00 payroll every week. Can I post? I've worked on all three. Albeit, the sundance's and jacuzzi's were older. HS is nice because there's no programming. However, I feel they're all good choices. I think the dealer or who you buy from makes the experience truly perfect.
  11. Term's got it. It's a Hot Spring Grandee in Sterling Marble interior and Coastal Grey exterior
  12. Last long? Not many spa dealers can show you this. hotspring pre-owned, up to 23 years old. Pre-owned Hot Spring
  13. Most spas will give you hot water and some jet pressure. If you've done some research, you know the half dozen to dozen large manufacturers in the U.S. HotSpring, Sundance, Jacuzzi, Marquis, D1, Caldera, Catalina, etc., etc. I don't know of a site to give you reviews and unbiased advice to purchase the best spa. It's my opinion to purchase from a local dealer, one whose been around a while selling a brand they've stuck with for some time. It usually means they're happy with the manufacturer and the manufacturer stands behind the product. If they've switched 2-3 brands in the last few years this tells you something different. E-pinions gives you some help, other frums like- What's the Best Hot Tub.com will help. My thoughts are, if a dealer gives you customers of theirs to call in your area who've purchased, that can help.
  14. Jim, Please, I asked for dealers, manufacturers, salespersons and techs to obstain
  15. do you know a local excavating company? In CT, locally there's a couple excavation companies who put a half dozen every year for their buddies.
  16. Go to your man. website, or call their 800 line. it will usually need to put out enough miilvolts to keep gas flowing to the pilot. Move it, clean it, is it engulfed in the flame of the pilot? Check with the manufacturer. They'll have the answers.
  17. Jim, Please, I asked for dealers, manufacturers, salespersons and techs to obstain.
  18. We take care of our customers and serve plenty others who have not bought from us. I differ with you. A crook can sell a good/great product. He's a crook if he is not taking care of the customer and their needs. It's a long term relationship for us and the spa owner. Alot of products are good, but not all people who sell them are. The foundation of our business is not based on the manufacturer we sell. We would and DO stand behind anything and everything we sell, PERIOD. We try to find the products which we think will perform the best. Have we chosen some products in the past that didn't, sure. We still stood behind them. You're entitled to your opinions.
  19. A spa without some human beings behind it is worthless. A good retailer selling a mediocre spa will make tons of people happy because they care. A crook selling a great spa is doing nothing for the consumer.
  20. spadr, I got a good laugh off that last 1/3 of the last paragraph. Nice.
  21. People appreciate good advice. Why not say something like,"check your local BBB, check out some local dealers- maybe you'll find a dealer you'll like, go with your gut on who to buy from." Why steer people?
  22. Please: dealers, manufacturers, salespersons, techs, let the consumer speak. Give us your #1 and #2 things you're looking for? What's most important to you?
  23. Support your dealer. Unless they're gouging you. You'll need them in the future.
