  1. Sure hope you didn't buy one from them or you may have been having the same problems I do. They replaced the first lemon and less than a month later is was non-op too. I started the week before Christmas trying to get it fixed....about a month now and nothing. They a badly made and they use very cheep materials. Spend the $$ and get something you might actually be abot to use. and by the way, you'll never get one at the advertised price....you wouldn't want that one. Trust me.
  2. I recently, Sept 5,2008, paid for a spa from Islander Spas Inc Las Vegas. I went to their showroom. I was an idiot and bought after a high pressure resentation. Since it never worked, and still isn't working, I did some investigation. It seems LifeSpas of Chino is no longer associated with Burboa dba Islander Spas among others. They did make a spa for them a while back. The local LifeSpas dealer used that name sold was the burboa line only. They went bankrupt and reopened weeks later a few miles from the first store under the new name. The will not admit this, but I did my homework. I filed a BBB complaint against both Burboa dba Islander Spas Fontana CA and the Las Vegas Islander Spas Inc. I have been told by the local office that they will not longer give me warranty service, call the manufacturer because of this. Burboa told me if I withdrew the BBB complaint, they'd give me service. Then they said I was a racist because I wouldn't allow a man into my yard, without an appointment or phone call of any kind, smelling of marijuana so strongly that I thought I was going to get a contact high. I tried to talk to him, he just stared at me. He didn't seem to speak English, I don't know Spanish. My dogs were going crazy trying to get him, so I told him I was going to cage the dogs, then shut the door. When I came back seconds later, he was gone. I called Burboa and told them what had happened and was he there to fix my spa. Because of that I'm a racist? I have 5 mixed race kids, I doubt that I'd be called a racist by anyone. So, I have a spa, actually the second because the first was a total lemon and they replaced it, and the temp won't go above 96 degrees. My husband is an electronic enginner, he quickly firgured out how to operate it and downloaded manuals from the manufactures they use. I can't get anyone to service it. Four and a half months and I've been able to use it 5 times. Next stop will be small claims court. I want my money back, I don't want to deal with these people anymore!! And, don't let them tell you DuraTemp is plastic over wood. It's a house siding material they just paint, and not even covering all the bare wood at that! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT NAME THEY USE! My electician, who they recommended, says I'm one of many unhappy customers.
