  1. We were using bromine. We only had the spa a short time and I started getting an itchy rash around my waist and upper body. Dealer suggested we use free. Is a new tub. We drained and cleaned it and refilled immediatly. I am having a hard time balancing the ph and alkalinity. you have any suggestions. Also would chlorine have been a better choice.

  3. I am using leisure time free in my spa. there are three chemicals to ad 1 is control 2 is boost 3 is free. My question is do I need to add shock. My dealer just says to use these but I feel like I need to be using something else after each use. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks
  4. Did you use Leisure Time's "Jet Clean" product before you drained? It's supposed to help clear out the residue buildup in the plumbing. Did you use the proper dose of Control (1 oz per 100 gallons)? Too much of it and it might not fully dissolve, even at full temperature. You might have to drain and refill again to fix these problems. Then there's the possibility of the water balance being out of whack - read Nitro's guide to find out more. I did not use jet clean this time. I did last time. Sorry to say I didn't even think of it. I have tried a new filter seems to be getting better. But if not will drain and refill. This is a real learning experience. Thank You This forum is wonderful
  5. I'm new also but what chemistry are you using? How much of each did you add upon fill? Can't really provide you any pointers, but would like to learn from you experience... I use leisure time Free
  6. Did you clean your filters? For water to be cloudy without use, something is getting into the water, dirty filters or gunk in the lines. I put a clean filter in when I changed the water. The spa is 6mos. old. have changed water4 times since I have had it. Just tried another filter. I use Leisure time free chem system. Used bromine when we bought the spa. I imediately started itching so changed to free. Would chlorine be better. Thank You
  7. I just changed water in spa. It's cloudy. Today is the first day it is up to temp. Do I need to wait to see if it changes or do I need to add something. Sorry I am a new owner still learning. Thanks :
