I live in the tropics. Should I have a salt water pool or chemical pool. Which is best? Thank you

My grout has turned dark brown as has the sides of some tiles and the plastic drain covers. The sand in the filter system is two years old. I run the system 2hrs. a day. The backwash is done every week. The other pools next to my house where built by the same company and maintained by the same people and use the same water supply. Help?
