  1. Greetings, If you haven't had it looked at already I would call a Sundance Dealer (if you dont have one local, just look one up for another area, they are all usually helpful and willing to answer your questions if they have the time. It sounds to me though like its circuitry related...possible check out for a faulty motherboard or another circuitry part? Best of Luck!
  2. Greetings, I just had the same dilemma. My local D1 dealer had the Lotus Bay...and I wanted the Amore Bay which they only had in a warehouse, and werent setup in their floor to have it installed for wet testing...but the lotus bay is very similar. My eventual choice? I took advice on what tub to get, and just jumped in. Most tubs have seating for several, and no matter what tub you get, you will have a favorite spot to sit. IF one seats to low or high, sit somewhere else, rotate chairs, etc. Some seats have more jets, and focus on different areas etc. Just be happy with the tub itself dry, and if you are atleast pretty confident you will like it wet, and don't have the option like the situation I was in...all you can do is go for it. In my case it was over a $10k purchase...but I knew that I would be happy overall with a hot tub, that has quality seats, jets, and stays 104 degrees...the rest is just which seat you like the most...if it has the qualities you want in a spa, go for it. Especially if the dealer is willing to work with you, and like he mentioned, once you get it you will fall in love if you havent already, and won't want to give it back... Best of Luck!
  3. Hey Stefan, I just recently finished having to run brand new wire, as I had none previously. I was Completely finished when an inspector drove by, came over and started pointing out areas that did not meet code, so I had to completely redo EVERYTHING..trust me I can appreciate your circumstances. You will need to check your local codes for exterior wiring, as for 1, you have to typically have a GFI, which the #8 may or may not be running to. Most Spa boxes today have the GFI built in, and already have a 40-50amp installed. If the manual is asking for #6, its because that is the amperage the hot tub requires to run at its optimum load, not only from a functional standpoint but from a safety standpoint, you will need to go with #6 guage if that is the recomendation, and upgrade your spa box to a 50amp breaker, as well as throw in a 50 amp on your circuit breaker. (Honestly, if you go to one of the box stores, the amps are around 10$ a piece, the conduit is dirt cheap, and the wire, is cheaper if you buy #6 awg (#6 in red, white, and black, but #10 in copper). I would strip the copper, recycle it, then purchase the #6 individaul green ground, and run them all through 1 inch conduit. That is the standard outdoor requirement for spas today. All 4 wires, being at a minimum #6 guage. You can do it yourself, but you will typically will have to get a permit from the city or L and I. (typically like 4o-50$, then have it inspected when its all done for your own safety). I did all the wiring myself, and with everything I spent: Spa Box - $100 Conduit - $20 Wire - $50 (from circuit breaker to spa box) Wire - $120 (from spa box to hot tub. I bought lots of extra to be safe...had almost 10 out of 45 feet left over) Conduit Bond - $4.99 Permit - $46.00 But now I have the amp/watts required for my new tub to run at its best, I'm up to code, and I'm safe. Any questions feel free to msg me on it. I had to go through alll the 'riggemoro' so its all very fresh... Good Luck!
  4. Well...I made the plunge and since I didn't get a chance to wet test either, I went with the amore. I personally like the seating better on the Sarena for guests (and the guests get the padded pillows for different lying positions) where as the bucket seat has none...) but..overall as far as effects the amore is far superior. Again didn't get to wet test either so had to rely on everyone elses opinion. Well see how she goes when shes all full!
  5. Well..tough call..(hands down I like the "effects" whether lighting, or FX package on the amore)..I like the jet placement on the amore..but you are having to sit up, versus lean back..the guys side doesnt have the massage sequencer (is it worthit? why did they only put this on the smaller female side???) Where as the sarena has it on both sides... Second, for having company (we host people over a LOT) , it seems like the sarena beats the amore hands down, with each guest getting 15-20 jets, a much bigger, wider seat, versus 5-6 jets on the open seating bench area of the Amore. I have not unfortunately had the opportunity to wet test either, and won't be able to, so have to badly enough make a call without doing this.
  6. Ok...so I've finally laid the concrete slab, built the retaining wall, and am finalizing the wiring hookup this weekend just in time. I built the slab for the bigger D1 Sarena Bay just in case, but am back and forth on which one to go with. The Sarena Bay has the dual sequencers for both main seats...the Amore has One, but still the big jets for the male, but it has the nice "playgorund" bucket seat area... other then that I'm kind of at a toss up. The Amore seems to have the newer jet system, easier pull outs, nicer lighting, and the liquid fx package for changing the fountains. More foofoo stuff, but trying to do a fair comparison. As for the price this is presuming both are the same. (The price difference is not part of the comparison basically..) Usage..we have company over..so usage for guests would be pretty decent, and probably nightly use by the spouse and I. (no kids) Anyone have any thoughts or opinions?
