  1. I checked it this evening and the FC was close to 2 ppm. I put in 1 cup of clorox bleach, ran the tub for 10 minutes. Checked it and the FC 7 or 8 ppm. It was in between the 5 and 10 ppm color on the strip. No one is using the tub tonight, so we'll see what it is tomorrow. Thanks for helping me out.
  2. Last night I checked it and it read between 0 and 1 ppm for FC. I put in 2 cups of Clorox bleach and checked it 10 minutes later. It read 10 ppm on the test strip. I will check it tonight and let post what I find. No one used the tub last night.
  3. Will the high CYA level cause the FC level to drop from 5-8 ppm to near zero overnight? I haven't had the time to drain the water yet.
  4. Using liquid bleach won't harm the spa or any of it's components? How much bleach do I use?
  5. Also my Free Chlorine has been ropping to near zero everyday after adding the night before.
  6. How do I lower the CYA in my spa? I use Dichlor daily and MPS once a week. I'm using the Aquachek strips and the CYA is reading about 150ppm. It seems like it jumped almost over night. User load has been the same.
  7. Thanks for the repiles. I kind of thought everyone would just let it overflow but I wanted to ask before we let it happen. We really love our Vanguard!
  8. I have a question about the water level in my Hot Springs Vanguard. I have the water level about 1 inch above the highest jets which is a good level for my wife and I when we get in. My concern is when we have 3 or 4 additional bodies in the tub and what this will do to the water level. So far it's just been the 2 of us in the tub. What does everyone else do, just let the water overflow the tub? Bail some out before everyone enters the tub? Just wondering.
  9. My Hot Springs Vanguard was delivered and setup this past weekend and I have a question. What can I put in the water to keep the brown ring from forming at the water line? I'm using well water.
