  1. Thanks for the comments Mac. We ended up ordering the Flair last Thursday. We ended up paying $6575 setup & delivered + ozone, steps, cover lifter, tax so about $7500 out the door with everything. The only thing that I am not sure of is the lounger for me. My wife loved the lounger. She is about 5'9" and I am closer to 6'0". It seems like a nice unit for the money. I wanted to look at the HS Soverign but it was about $1000 more and the envoy almost $3k more. I am a little cocerned about the 3yr warranty but can't justify spending more at this point to get another couple years. We are a first time spa owner so this if very exciting. We were told 4-6 weeks for delivery. The good news is we should be in great shape for Christmas time! I built a 15'x15' covered area off the back of my pole building for the spa. I am now just waiting for the contractor to put the steel ceiling in . Eventually we may enclose the area in with glass, this winter we may put heavy mil plastic up for wind/snow protection on the north & west sides. We average about 180" of snow a year where I am at. Anyhow, I'll try to post some pics once we receive it.
  2. I agree with everything above. For our budget ($6500) it seems the Flair is the best choice for us. We initally wanted the HS Envoy until we almost passed out from the sticker shock ($9500). I think HS makes a great product, but is out of our price range for a 1st time buyer. We also looked at Sundance, Caldera, Lake Erie?, and a couple others but usually didn't feel comfortable with the dealers. So we are down to the Tiger River Bengal and the Flair. We didn't really like the formed seating of the Bengal though and it just looked a little dated. Plus my wife I think really loved the lighting on the Flair. Wet test is scheduled for tonight so we'll see.
  3. Great. We are going to wet test a Flair today and possibly order assuming we like it. We have done a ton of homework on these since we are a first time buyer and it seems like the Flair packs a lot of value for the dollar.
  4. Anyone else with a Limelight product that can comment before we pull the trigger?
  5. Anne, the way I understand the no-bypass filtering is that every drop of water is filtered even when the jets are running. The Limelight only has 1 filter where the HS may have 5 filters. How is the water clearity with the 65ft? Oh, and the 65ft^2 is the effective area of the filters. If you laid them out on the ground, they would cover 65 square feet (roughly 6'x10.5') so it isn't a flow rate, but rather an area.
  6. In the states at least, they call out 'current carrying conductors'. You ground is not a current carrying condutor so it does not count to the conductors in conduit calculation.
  7. Anne, Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone else have any opinions or this is too new of a product? Thanks.
  8. Hello, my wife and I are looking for a spa and was originally looking at a Hot Springs Envoy until we saw the price. The dealer then showed us the Tiger River Bengal as well as the Limelight Flair. We were most impressed by the Flair. We were quoted a cash price of about $7k plus about $500 for the cover lifter, ozone, and steps. I believe tax was included in this price. The tiger river was only about $500 less. The questions we have are: 1. Is that a fair price? 2. How does the quality seem to be? 3. Does the small filter effective area seem to be a problem (65ft vs. >300ft for the HS). 4. Is the insulation and operating costs inline with the HotSprings? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
