We had a large pool at our previous home and always had a pool service. We have just move to another home that has a small fiberglas pool, oval 10 x 20, 4 ft deep, and I would like to take care of it myself. What is the best book to buy to tell me what to do and do I need a Taylor k2006 kit? And, if I do, will I be able to figure it out? Thanks for any opinions you might have.

I would also like to know about retractable pool covers. We will be building an inground pool soon and need to plan for a cover. One thing for certain, we will not be building a kidney shape like we have at our house now. It will be a simple rectangle to make covering easier.

We have a pool in a screen enclosure. How many hours a day do we need to run the filter pump? In the past, I have been running it about 10 hours a day, but is that necessary? Thanks, Pat
