  1. I am not an expert but did purchase a used Sundance this past fall after doing a lot of research and price checking. As someone who was recently looking for a newer high end spa but did not want to pay retail in this current financial environment I can share some of my considerations and experience. - Most sellers of newer spas make a big deal about “still under warranty”. I have yet to find a spa warranty that will transfer past the original owner, Jacuzzi’s being one of them “This Limited Warranty is extended to the original purchaser”. - Unless the buyer is a reseller (who will want to bring you way down on price), interested parties will need to find a mover for the spa and someone to hook it up (electric, fill, etc). This can be a real challenge for many people and just make the sale process that more difficult for you. Thoughts: - Shop your market for a new model. At least in my area (east of you in the Midwest) dealers are discounting ’08 models with the 470 available in the $10k range. Some (within 200 miles) still have new ’07 models they are trying to sell. - When price checking at the dealer ask them their opinion of value and if they would consider selling on consignment. You will give up a portion of the sale revenue but the dealer will likely off the buyer a warranty and take care of the move and installation. Plus the dealer gains a customer for repeat sales of chemicals, etc. For you, less hassle and probably a quicker sale. - If you are set on selling it yourself I would look at 40% - 50% of retail + tax. When I bought mine I calculated out the pros and cons of the savings against retail vs. no warranty or service support. - In my area there are a couple of local guys who do moves and repairs. If you can find one in yours, talk to them and have their information ready for a prospective buyer. These folks can move and install the tub and will be a resource for the buyer. - Use CraigsList and expand outside your local area by 200 – 250 miles. People looking for a high end tub like yours will be looking further then their local area. Hope it works out for you, best of luck!
  2. The easy way to tell what is doing it is. Unplug a compnent pump and try the breaker. If it trips not that pump. plug it back in and try another component. I start wilth the ozonator, then go to a blower then the heater. When the breaker holds the unplugged item is the problem Thanks much. Started with the ozonator, everything worked fine after it was uinplugged. Now trying to find a replacement at a reasonable cost. Thanks again!
  3. Anyone know where I may purchase a Spa Necessities Ozonator reasonably? Need part number 6473-124 or 6473-125. Thnks for the help!
  4. Installed a Sundance Bahia (purchased used) about 90 days ago and have enjoyed it almost nightly since. This past Friday the display was flickering when I went to use the tub, powered on the pumps and all seemed well, flicker went away. Went out last night (Saturday) and the power was off, the ground fault had tripped. Reset the breaker in the main box and then the ground fault breaker. The ground fault breaker keeps tripping and will not reset. It is getting cold here (Ohio) so need to get this resolved quickly or drain the spa. Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you
  5. This will be my first tub and I have decided to purchase used. Currently debating between 4 options, I realize that these tubs are very different (seating, etc) however am looking for quality and a tub which will hold it's value for resale or trade in at a later time after we have "realtime" experience and can define exactly what we want when buying a new spa. Would appreciate input and advise, thank you. Options 1, 2, & 3 are all under $4,000 Option 1: 2006 Sundance Bahia. Was a floor model delivered to the current owner in early/mid 2007. Has been iused indoors all of it's short life. Option 2: 2007 ThermoSpas Concord Gold package Option 3: 2003 Masterspas LSXS Floor Model delivered in July 2004 (questions on the additional S as I have only been able to locate the LSX but the owner tells me this is an LSXS). Has a radio which the other 2 do not. Option 4: 2005 Thermospa Olympian whixh includes the "swimmer/exercise" option. and is available for under $2500. All of these spas are dry/empty for various reasons. Would appreciate thoughts and adfvise. Thank you!
