  1. NewB here with new pool. 15x24' using 2Hp 2-Speed motor. I'd like to know if it is possible to run hard plumbing from the pump to the pool (underground) and relocate the pump/filter approx 30' away from the pool itself. I live in MA so I would have to flush the lines before first freeze, but that wouldn't be an issue. I guess my questions would be: 1. Would it abide by code (my guess is code in most states is pretty similar)? 2. Would I have to extend the ground from the pool, all the way underground to the pump to keep within code? 3. Electrical requires that an outlet be between 5' and 10' from the pool, but if I relocate the pump this wouldn't make sense (I'm sure I could clear this up with the inspector). I'm about to build a deck around the pool and extend it to my current deck and want to put t he pump/filter in a more accessible area (and maybe add a gas heating system in the future as well). The filter is rather large and it would interfere with the deck, so I would have to move it outside the deck radius anyway. Just curious if this could be done. I haven't dug the trench for the electrical yet, so I was figuring if I have to dig anyway......
