  1. Gotcha, thanks. I'll try the wire. Where would the thermostat be?
  2. Hey everyone! I bought this spa like 1.5 years ago and really never had time to mess with it. I thinks its a Gatsby(I know) but I paid like $100 for it. I ran a 220v out to it. Anyway my problem is the heater, it would get up to about 95 deg but that it. So I bought a new element last year and today decided to put it in. Problem is there is only 1 wire going to it, the other is broken off and nowhere to be found. I think it goes to the same place(next terminal)place. I have added pics to make my poor explanation easier to see... Here is a close up of the terminal posts and where the one wire goes to Heres a pic of the spa pack And here is the old heating element Any help would be great
  3. I'm talking PVC sch 40 pipe. I think it will be strong enough
  4. Hey everyone, I was think of a using 1 1/4" PVC for a support frame for my hot tub. Any thoughts? I plan on using the pvc then use some trex boards to use as nailers(screwers ) to attach some 1/4" cement board(prefab with knock down finish) to finish it off, with some corner molding made from the trex. This way I will never have to worry about any rot TIA ADNUP
  5. Well...I bought a Square D disconnect & 80' of 6/3 and got her up and running. Testing for leaks now. Nobody has any info on Gatsby??
  6. Hi everyone! I just bought a Gatsby spa off of craigslist for next to nothing. 1. I can't find anything about these hot tubs, does anyone have a link to a manual or something? 2. I have a Square D fuse panel do I have to use a square D disconnet box? The guy at HD told me the spa disconnect they sell is for Sylvania panels 3. The guy I bought this from had a 60A breaker, but from what i've read mist spas are 50A or less. 4. The distance from my fuse panel is about 70' I plan on using #6/3 wire sorry for so many questions.......
