  1. Hello, Unless you are already set with the list of options, I would add Marquis to the list. They have 2 tubs for 2/3 people, The Spirit and The Rendevous.. Plus they have one That is slighty larger, The Mirage, which lists capacity of 4/5 persons, but in reality it only sits 3 persons comfortably. I own a Mirage and have been extremely happy with it. plus the Mirage has the captains chair and lounger facing in the same direction. Can't really help with engergy efficiency stats, but all I know is my electric bills have been much lower with my Mirage, compared to my previous tub. If you had any Marquis questions (insulation, etc), I believe Spa_Guru could help you since he has already posted here. Good luck with your search!. all the best
  2. Hi again... just wondering.. did you purchase the Promise?... was in Colley's last week to pick up some chems, and saw they had one on display... beautiful tub!... anyway, if your did go ahead with the purchase, CONGRATS!!!!!... Enjoy!...you're gonna love it!... keep us posted how it works out... Ok, back for a another soak in my Mirage..all the best!
  3. Hello, Live in the Buffalo area and a VERY happy owner of a Marquis Mirage. great tub!!!!... I got mine in Aug 2011, and the price was $6824.00 (tax included), also included, delivery and set up, steps, cover, cover lifter, chems.. what was included in your quote?... now mine is a 2011 model, so perhaps the price has gone up for 2012 models. Since your dealer has only been selling tubs for 6 months, do they have a full service dept, should any problems arise?.. no problems whatsoever so far with my tub!.. How many people would be using the tub?.. will only sit 4 fairly comfortably, and 3 very comfortably.. good luck with you search and possible purchase!... wet test. if at all possible... If you go this route, I think you will be very pleased with Marquis!... any other questions, let me know... all the best!
  4. Hello, you might also want to consider the Marquis Euphoria... no lounger... Very happy owner of a Marquis here!... althought the suggestions of D1, Sundance and Hot Springs are great too!!!... Happy hunting!
  5. Hello again..... did you get any more info from your dealer?... this weekend we've had temps in the mid 40's to the mid 50's and it had been extremely windy, in the 20 plus mph range and gusting into the mid 30's.... and I've had no problem.. keep the temp right now at 102, and on occasion it would dip down a degree for a few minutes and then go right back up to the set temp. .. and yes, this is using the jets on high speed, aerated....... interested to hear what your dealer (or Marquis) says!... hope you get you problem resolved!... Happy tubbing!
  6. Interesting... Have you checked with the dealer?.. I also just got a new 2011 Mirage, and have had NO problems keeping the heat as set, even with the chilly nights and wind. Live in Buffalo, and we've had some very cool nights this past month... and, yes, LOVING my Marquis Mirage too!... Hope you get your problem resolved!
  7. I would also agree with the suggestion of the Marquis Mirage!. Just took delivery of my new Mirage last month and absolutely LOVING it!... It'a advertised as a 4/5 person seater, but really only fits 3 comfortably, 2 ideally with plenty of room!... GREAT little tub!
  8. Welcome to the forum!.... Don't know about the pricing for the EPIC, nor do I own one... But, If you go to the Marquis website and click on coupons, they have one for $800.00 off the price of the EPIC (good until the end of Sep). Just want to add that I just purchased a Marquis MIRAGE last month, and absolutely LOVE it!... smaller tub and more basic tub for Marquis, and I paid around $6200.00, so the price you were quoted for the EPIC might be pretty good. Hopefully you'll get some reponses from some EPIC owners here. Good luck with your search/purchase!... and wet-test if you can!
  9. Yes, I have a Marquis Mirage that I had installed in January 2011. We love it and use it nightly. There are lots of great jets and comfortable seats. It's very energy efficient. We find the quality to be excellent. We've had no problems at all. We use the natural water conditioner rather than bromine and chlorine although we use dichlor a few times a week and sometimes a non-chlorinated shock. My electric bill might have gone up $10-15 a month, tops. We hooked it up to 220v rather than use 110. I don't keep it that hot, 100-101 through the winter and 97-98 now that it's warmer. I do live in a very moderate climate, though. Our winter temperatures are in the 40's. We got a floor model for $6395 total. It had an ozonator and constellation lights as an upgrade. We did add the cover lift and stairs for an extra $300. Installation was included although we did pay the ferry charge for the truck since we live on an island that is accessed only by ferry. ($125 round trip) Hope that helps in your decision. I just wish we had bought ours sooner! Hey, Thanks so much for the info!.... still contemplating rather or not I should bite the bullet now, or wait til next year (which was the original plan)... One other question I had on the Mirage, is how many people does it fit "comfortably" without feeling to cramped?... I usually use my tub alone, but on a rare occasion, might have 3/4 people over for a soak.... I can't really consider a larger tub, due to lack of space...... Thanks again! It's rated to hold 5 people but will fit 4 comfortably. My husband and I use it every night but will have company in a few weeks so will let you know how it works with more people in it. The Mirage is curved and fits on our deck between two posts from our balcony above. I don't know how to post a picture of it! Maybe I could email you directly. Thanks!... Let me know how how it worked with more people in it, and how many people it fit without feeling cramped... would love to see some pix here, or email!... Is this your first tub?... wondering how it compares to others...

  11. All Marquis spas are fully foamed but a big part of heat loss is through the cover so Marquis uses 2lb density foam cores plus the addition of a foam seal down the fold of the cover. So between the spa and cover it is a very efficient unit. Let us know if you have any further questions. You can also call the factory and they will answer anything for you: 800-275-0888. Thanks for the info!... still wondering about approx purchase price range.. any owners out there?... R U pleased with your Marquis?... Thanks

  14. Hello, New here... any owners on this forum of a Marquis Mirage?... looking for any info, such as approx purchase price, energy efficiency in cold weather climate. pros/cons on this model... currently the owner of a low end starter tub, which has worked well for me over the past 5 years, except the high electric costs which forced me to close the tub down in the winter. any thoughts on Marquis quality in general?.. was originally looking to purchase next spring, but seriously thinking now of taking the leap now if the price was right... I had originally just stopped in the local Marquis dealer for some basic info and was quoted $6500.00 for the Mirage... Is this a good price?... any info is much appreciated... Thanks!
